they haven't updated yet to have our extra 3rd rounder sadly so i made a trade to kind of even that out. Also lol at the grading system I think this draft is amazing and impossible as some players won't fall as far as they did but it gave me a C+ Your score is: 28995 (GRADE: C+) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 3: Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia (A) Round 2 Pick 3: Walker Little, OT, Stanford (A-) Round 3 Pick 4 (MIA): Jake Hanson, C, Oregon (B-) Round 4 Pick 3: Jeffrey Okudah, CB, Ohio State (A+) Round 4 Pick 15 (MIA): Antonio Gandy-Golden, WR, Liberty (A+) Round 5 Pick 3: Christian Rector, DE/OLB, USC (A+) Round 6 Pick 24: AJ Green, CB, Oklahoma State (A) basic thoughts andrew thomas is the no brainer. he'll be our LT for the next decade. Walker little falling to the 2nd is amazing. he can play RT for us. that allows us to slide edoga inside at OG to replace winters and cut him. then in the 3rd round taking Jake hansen now we just improved the o-line with 4 new starters. I think we resign alex lewis just becuase meaning in 2020 our o-line would be Thomas, Lewis, Hanson, Edoga, Little. They will struggle but will be young, cheap and good. we'll save money cutting winters as well. and with 4 out of 5 players being in year 1 or 2, they will have plenty of time to gel and grow together as a unit. Now that the o-line is addressed I turned to the seconday. this would basically be our 2nd 3rd round pick we got in the leo trade. I grabbed Okudah to play CB. likely trumaine and roberts are both gone in 2020 so it's a big need. This game is dumb though and he'll be a 1st rounder or worse case 2nd rounder so not likely but still. he has all the potential to be a good cover CB on the outside in the NFL Now we need to address WR next which would be our 4tf rounder. AGG was still somehow on the board again unlikely. he'll probably go 2nd or 3rd round. He reminds me of enunwa. typical bigger WR on the outside at 6-4 220. not a burner but a tough guy with good hands who's physical. he's really good with the ball too. kind of a slower dez bryant type. can start on the outside with robby and crowder in the slot now 5th rounder i took a flyer on rector. we need to improve the pass rush badly. plus anyhting past a 4th rounder you want players who could be high reward but realisitically most bust out. rector has the size you want from an edge rushing OLB in the 3-4. he'll have to transition from a 4-3 DE but he's produced a bit in college. likely never an every down OLB for but but could be a situational edge rusher so why not last the 6th rounder he got by trading lee. Again I went CB and a CB that will not be on the board on the 6th lol but whatever. likely gone in the 3rd or 4th but more CB depth for us
Are you Mac2 ? It grades you down because you didn't follow the formula. At the start it gives you 3 players of need, you addressed that with Thomas the OT then selected another OT straight, the same with the centre it does say we need a centre but that is after three picks from memory hence the B score. Anyways hopefully we can make something work in real life from all those OT/OG players coming out this year. If we are picking 1-3 then it is a no brainer to take Thomas if available.
i know the forumla but it's bad. I can trade down get 100 picks make all bad picks as long as it follows the positional need and get an A+ I've been playing this game for a few years now. The forumla doens't really make sense or account for a lot of things. it didn't say the jets needed a C hence it gave me a B becuase of forumla but we all know we need a C and he's one of the top 3 and a steal in the 3rd. realistically it's a A+ pick in real life. but in the game if i took a 5th round OG in the 3rd I'd get an A lol
Correct lol I really like trading all your picks until you have every pick from 24th in the third until 20th in the fourth and getting A+ for every pick, the big bug being you can select anybody graded a 2nd rounder in the third gives automatic A+ :Last year I think the best I managed was 40+ picks
lol yeah it's very easy to game which is why i tried to keep it as realistic as possible. also FYI they don't grade picks by round. it's by day. 1 means day 1 or 1st rounder. 2 means day 2 or 2nd-3rd round and day 3 means 4-7th round so it doesn't differential between a 3rd round talen or 2nd round talent and worse off between a 4th rounder and a 7th rounder. it just goes by day and position of need
Yes, it is day, I keep saying round but it isn't right, the bug still exists that when day 3 players appear and day 2's are on the board they essentially become A+ picks. It is just a bit of daft fun at the end of the day.
pretty much. won't be perfect but it's better then nothing. still fun to try and make a somewhat realistic one. I mean the draft is so unpredictable anyway. last year we seen a WR who was supposed to in the 10-20 range fall to the last pick of the 2nd round and a 4th round OT go in the 1st round. you really never know who will rise or fall. even taylor who was considered a top 10 pick at OT fell to jax in the 2nd round.
In a nutshell, the following is why I hate these draft games. Your score is: 29620 (GRADE: C+) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 10 (OAK): Trey Adams, OT, Washington (B+) Round 1 Pick 18 (PHI): Tyler Biadasz, C, Wisconsin (B) Round 2 Pick 3: Alex Leatherwood, OG/OT, Alabama (B+) Round 2 Pick 18 (PHI): TJ Vasher, WR, Texas Tech (A+) Round 3 Pick 3: Kenny Willekes, DE/OLB, Michigan State (A-) Round 3 Pick 10 (OAK): Jeffrey Okudah, CB, Ohio State (A) Round 4 Pick 3: Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama (A+) Round 5 Pick 3: Mekhi Becton, OT, Louisville (A+) Round 6 Pick 24: Tavien Feaster, RB, Clemson (A-) Your Future Picks: 2021 Round 1 Pick 2022 Round 1 Pick The game has the Jets' top 3 needs as DE, WR and CB. Picking #3 in the draft, a CB should not even be considered unless he's a Deion Sanders clone. If the Jets stick with a 3-4 D alignment, DE shouldn't be a consideration at that point. Very few teams take WRs that high. They need an edge rusher (OLB) and LT much more than they need a DE, WR or CB. I haven't done a lot of research on players in the draft, but I traded down several times and wound up with two 1st round picks, two 2nd round picks and 6 picks in the first 3 rounds. That alone should give me at least a B score. I added perhaps the most natural LT in the draft, and maybe the best if he can stay healthy. I added the #1 C prospect. I added an OG and another OT prospect, which should go along way to improving competition and level of play of the OL. I added a 6'6 WR who will be a great target for Sam. I added one of the best edge rushing prospects, two good CB prospects and a power running back which is something we don't have and need.
Here's another example. I got no decent trade down offers, so stayed put and took perhaps the best player in the draft who fills a huge need for the Jets, Chase Young. After that, nothing really fell right in the draft to get any of the WRs or OL I really wanted or to address certain positions as early I think merited. Still, I think a D on this is ridiculous. Your score is: 24961 (GRADE: D) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 3: Chase Young, DE/OLB, Ohio State (A) Round 2 Pick 3: Alex Leatherwood, OG/OT, Alabama (A) Round 3 Pick 3: Trevon Diggs, CB, Alabama (A-) Round 4 Pick 4 (HOU): Frederick Mauigoa, C, Washington State (C-) Round 5 Pick 3: Steven Gonzalez, OG, Penn State (B-) Round 6 Pick 2 (DEN): Tavien Feaster, RB, Clemson (B) Round 6 Pick 24: Michael Pittman, WR, USC (A+) Your Future Picks: 2021 Round 1 Pick 2022 Round 1 Pick
One final draft that again shows the ignorance of whomever runs that site. I was able to trade down, add additional picks and still take the top-rated LT in the draft, and then one of the top rated edge rushers and top rated centers with the two 2nd round picks. I added further depth to the OL, a couple of pretty good CB prospects and a power RB. That doesn't add up to a C-, particularly when they have Jets's needs as DE, DT, FS and RB. Your score is: 26737 (GRADE: C-) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 6 (NYG): Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia (A+) Round 2 Pick 3: Julian Okwara, DE/OLB, Notre Dame (A-) Round 2 Pick 6 (NYG): Creed Humphrey, C, Oklahoma (B+) Round 3 Pick 3: Jeffrey Okudah, CB, Ohio State (A-) Round 3 Pick 6 (NYG): Nick Harris, OG/C, Washington (B+) Round 4 Pick 3: Tyler Vaughns, WR, USC (B) Round 5 Pick 3: DeMarkus Acy, CB, Missouri (A) Round 6 Pick 24: Tavien Feaster, RB, Clemson (A-) Your Future Picks: 2021 Round 1 Pick 2022 Round 1 Pick
My last one unless they change the needs and scoring. Every pick is at least an A- by their own scoring system, and that somehow adds up to a B-? I traded down, adding extra picks, and addressed the needs that they say the Jets have. I didn't deviate once. Okwara was taken as a DE and Barnes as an OLB. The site is really fucked up. Your score is: 31116 (GRADE: B-) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 13 (JAX): Tristan Wirfs, OT, Iowa (A+) Round 1 Pick 20 (JAX): Laviska Shenault, WR, Colorado (A) Round 2 Pick 3: Julian Okwara, DE/OLB, Notre Dame (A-) Round 2 Pick 13 (JAX): Creed Humphrey, C, Oklahoma (A-) Round 3 Pick 3: Jeffrey Okudah, CB, Ohio State (A-) Round 4 Pick 3: Ben Bredeson, OG, Michigan (A+) Round 5 Pick 3: Zack Moss, RB, Utah (A+) Round 6 Pick 24: Krys Barnes, OLB, UCLA (A+) Your Future Picks: 2021 Round 1 Pick 2022 Round 1 Pick
My first crack at it: Your score is: 32386 (GRADE: B) Your Picks: Round 1 Pick 8 (T.B.): Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama (A+) Round 2 Pick 5: Tyler Biadasz, C, Wisconsin (A) Round 2 Pick 8 (T.B.): Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU (A+) Round 3 Pick 3: Trey Smith, OT/OG, Tennessee (A) Round 3 Pick 5: Alaric Jackson, OT, Iowa (A-) Round 3 Pick 8 (T.B.): Ben Bredeson, OG, Michigan (A-) Round 4 Pick 5: Joe Bachie, OLB, Michigan State (A+) Round 5 Pick 5: Jonathon Cooper, DE/OLB, Ohio State (A+) Round 6 Pick 23: Anthony McFarland, RB, Maryland (A+) Your Future Picks: 2021 Round 1 Pick 2022 Round 1 Pick I didn't get blue-chip LT, but I did end up with top C prospect of this year, AND top WR prospect of the year, AND a good CB prospect. I don't know how this is still B, but I like what I have.
