Syracuse versus Villanova right now baby! My son just sent me a video of everyone heading up to the Dome. So psyched for him. Ahhh youth. _
Holy shit we are awful but Nova missed a chip shot field goal for the win with 15 seconds left. Wow. _
Weird game. Bad choice by Nova to go for 2 in OT. Ballsy move for SU to fake the FG for the TD. We are not good. _
Good thing we're not playing your Hokies this year, you'd crush us. Florida State is going to hang 70 on us. We couldn't stop Villanova's dual threat QB, the only way we're stopping Winston is if someone stashes some stolen king crab legs in his locker before the game and we tip the cops off. _
I know that this is on no one's radar, but it's becoming impressive the way that Larry Coker is building the UTSA Roadrunners football team during a short period of time. They gut-stomped Houston last week and almost came back on Arizona last night. UTSA didn't even have a football team before 2010, began practicing that year and fielded their first team in 2011. They went from non-existence to the WAC to C-USA in a 3 year period, and I'm beginning to think they'll be in the Big 12 in another few years.
Going to be watching a lot more college football. Havent really been able to the last 4 years because typically I did all my college work on Saturdays so I could have Sunday off. (nothing worse than trying to study for an exam on a Sunday know there are football games on all day, couldnt even study without checking the scoreboard every 5 minutes).
Wow Oregon looks like a bunch of dayglo hi-lighters running around. Same outfit Ricky Fowler wore at The Masters when I went this year. Freaking Nike. _
Good win for Oregon, but I'm not sold Mariota had a rough day, missed some throws, but was much sharper in the 2nd half. Had they played a team with more offensive power, they would have gotten blown out. It's a shame to see a talented QB in Connor have no weapons. And Ifro Okpo Olomu is ridiculously good.
MSU has some weapons, don't get that twisted. Langford is a very good back and the receiver Lippett is a playmaker, plus there's a lot of experience there returned this year. Wiffle Oregon was too flat early on today they played a good game overall, I think that the nation saw what happens when they turn it on. MSU did a good job keeping Mariota contained, but I think seeing Royce Freeman emerge as a legit threat will open that up. Mariota has a ways to go still as a passer, but if he makes throws he needs to make they won't lose.
Yes, you guys have weapons, but they seemed to be nonexistent as the game went on. I've actually got Oregon in my playoffs, but I'm not just not completely sold on them. Does that mean I think they're awful? No, but I don't if they'll end up winning the PAC 12, if they play as inconsistent as they did last season. And I'm a huge fan of Mariota, in my opinon, he's the third best prospect in the league. But he did miss alot of throws yesterday; I just don't think they can keep wining games against the best teams in the nation, if they are THAT inconsistent
Gary Nova makes Sanchez circa 2009 or Geno circa last year look competent. FIVE INT's, and Rutgers still almost won if they didn't screw up on the hitch play that turned into a 57-yard gain on the last drive. That was a Jet-like game with 55 minutes of domination by everyone but the QB, then dying on the last drive.
In other words, a characteristic Rutgers loss. Only with Nova could you say a couple of the INTs weren't on him, but still have three that were.
