I just want revenge for last years debacle. To believe that the Jets were in that game until the very end is fucking mind boggling.
Titans could be 3-0 right now. Their defense is ok, but Locker is nothing special. Key is stopping CJ2K. Besides, I think they want to avenge their loss their on MNF last year
They could also be 0-3. They were only up on Pitt by one score the whole game til the last few minutes. They lost last week albeit it barely, and barely pulled one out against SD today. Now I admit they're decent. I thought they'd be a solid around .500 team, but we can stop CJ, and you guys know damn well we will beat up Locker. The key to this game is our O vs their improved D.
The game plan remains the same. Run the ball, good o line play, no turnovers. Meanwhile our defense needs to continue doing what it's doing especially the front 7. If we control time of possession and limit turnovers we can win this game.
Its sadder to think the Jets are 4 points from being 3-0 with the possibility of heading to Atlanta at 4-0.
The Titans have been a pretty big surprise this season, we can't look past this game. An overtime loss to the Texans kept them from a 3-0 start. That being said, this is a winnable game.
Stopping Chris Johnson is the key to success and our run D has been pretty great so far this season. We also need to start forcing turnovers. Its usually the key to winning on the road.
Gotta stop Chris Johnson in the receiving game on our LBs and cutting down on runs where he bounces outside. Have to be aware of Locker running with the ball and beating our LBs with his speed. I don't know much about their D. Typical strategy, D holds strong, offense doesn't give away points, we win.
The Jets have the ability to win this game for sure, but I think it will be really tough. We have to continue dominating the line of scrimmage on defense, we absolutely have to stuff Chris Johnson, thank god our front seven is so much faster now. Slow Bart Scott replaced with speedy DeMario Davis. Slow Mike DeVito replaced with speedy Sheldon Richardson. Slow Bryan Thomas replaced with speedy Quinton Coples. Anyway the point is stuff up CJ2K, because his line is a little weak with Roos out. That combined with our heavy pressure should take care of Jake Locker. We do need to watch out for Delanie Walker, as we haven't had to deal with any big threat TE's yet this year. On offense we need to be careful, they run bump and run coverage with their two tough CB's, Jason McCourty and Alterraun Verner. They are pretty good and I have a feeling they will get a pick or two just between them. When run properly, bump and run throws off routes that rely heavily on timing, and it will force Geno to make complicated reads. If we can do it right, we need Hill to slip between those zones and make catches with his big body (I think Winslow will help in this way too, he's good at using his size.) It will be hard to run on them, and our overall game plan will be similar to when we played TB.
Anytime a game analysis includes: "The key to a Jet win is shutting down such and such a running back" is an automatic win.
