VS. LETS GET THIS PARTY STARTED!!! Tomorrow: Sabathia vs. Guthrie Wednesday: Wang vs Uehara Thursday: Burnett vs. Simon I can't find the starting line-ups for either team currently. Hopefully someone else can. The Orioles have no pitching, that is for sure. Hopefully the Yankees' bats can start the season strong despite not having A-Rod. I read a report he could be back by the end of April, if so, things look good for the Bronx Bombers.
Guthrie's actually pretty damn good. He's faced the Yanks several times and has turned in more good performances than bad... I wouldn't be surprised if they drop the first game of the series.
He was not used by Team USA and had a TERRIBLE game last week. He is not ready to start IMO. He is good though, I agree.
Yankees NEED to take 2 out of 3, but should take all 3. Jeter and Posada, some of the guys that have been around for a while need to right this ship coming out on fire.
I should have put a qualifier on there such as, in order for a good start to the season, to start the year off right etc. I wasn't notified that my post was going to be scrutinized like a statement out of the NY Times.
I have a night class that starts at 6. Skipping it. Yeah, the one I failed the midterm in from another thread. haha prolly a bad idea.
I agree, and would also add that if the Yankees want to win more games than they lose, they should work hard to score more runs than their opponents on a regular basis.
I specifically asked for tomorrow off work so I can sit down at 1 in the afternoon and watch my team kick some ass.
http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=4044013 "Alex Rodriguez's progress in rehab after hip surgery is going so well that he could rejoin the New York Yankees by the end of April." That would be a remarkably quick return. They probably won't let him though unless they are behind by a lot by then.
Thats what I am thinking Don. Still a mid-May return because I doubt the Yankees will be in bad shape at that point. Let Rodriguez get as healthy as possible before his return.
