Granted its preseason, but a few thoughts on my untrained eye; O line leaky and scked when it came to pass protection, fair to decent opening holes for LW, DBrick clobbered on the INT by chad recievers, 2 many dropped balls, cheap call on JC QB Chad, average to poor, rusty, with poor decisions S/teams, very good Time of posession neutralized as we only had 3 pts at ent of 1/4 Defense looked good on the 3 and out... barton playing well adrian clark... bad news, holding, lost assignments again preseason but I thought the offense should have looked much better.... thiughts?
The offensive line is going to kill us. Edit: and the defensive line. What we've seen so far this preseason is not a team that is going to make waves this year.
Same Old Jets! Why is it that the Jets can never be a dominant force in the NFL(other than the 68 season)? Same crap over and over. have a good drive and end up with FG`s. Same old, Same Old.
Here's another one... Even on Chad's completions...They're just soft and floated...I've ignored the criticisms, i'll agree with his deep throws...But he was usually good on the short throws...Though he has completed them, they're just soft.
Keeep in mind... PRESEASON, vanilla, evaluation of weakness, strengthen those and learn from it, yes we want to win, but its a non factor 4 the REAL season
The team looks tired: no fire, bad decisions all around. If it weren't for Washington showing bursts, and Smith's ST runback, the grade would be worse from me. So I'll leave it as no grade, because it doesn't deserve any.
A full off season without rehab hasn't helped Chad's arm and seems to have made him a dumb qb with a weak arm.
I'm concerned that this will really effect his confidence. He has a very bad look on his face on the sideline. I know it's ONLY preseason but Chad is a guy who needs to have his head right. If this negatively effects his confidence, we could be seeing a QB controversy. I'm not opposed to that at all for the long term, but I don't think it would be good for this season at all. Lets see how the CS handles this situation if it becomes one.
Clemens has looked real good 2 weeks in a row and he made a throw under pressure that Chad couldn't make in his dreams tonight. Mangini may have his first tough decission on his hands.
