We are 15 days away from playing the Pats in our home opener. The closer its gets, the less confident I get. Especially after seeing the Pats play the Panthers last night. Damm, is Brady good or what. And then we play the Ravens, and I can not see beating them in their home opener. Chad never plays well against physical defenses. Maybe its just me, but after seeing Chad throw last week, every QB's arm looks so much better( Farve, Delhome, Brady, Leftwitch) I just wonder how limited our offense is because there is no way Chad makes all the throws. I do not care about the interceptions in pre-season, but I thought his arm was stronger. I am really concerned about the QB. I tell ya, if he throws with that noodle arm again tonight and looks like crap, I am off the Chad bandwagon. This is not to say Kellen is the man, its to say Chad might not be. Lets face it, the guy has not won a Super Bowl for us. We owe him NADA.
Every year a thread comes out like this saying the same thing over and over again. I think we have established that Chad doesn't have the greatest zip on his throws no? Despite that, history has shown time and time again that if Chad Pennington is healthy and starting at quarterback we will be in the playoff hunt come December. Until that changes you won't convince me that there needs to be a change at quarterback. It's not all about the zip he has so many other positive qualities that nobody seems to care about.
Why don't you give it atleast til after tonight when Chad plays 2-3 qtrs? You are jumping ship after 2 preseason games,1 of which we won,and the starters have played a total of 2 qtrs. Relax.
Who gives a shit how he plays in the preseason...its the preseason! Chad beat helped beat them last year...now with TJ...Chad should be able to do more damage. I am gonna be at the game...and I can already tell you...the fans will be absolutely nuts for this game. It will be a full house...and the fans are gonna smell blood and want a victory. Even if we lose the first game its not the end of the world...still 15 more to play after that. Cant wait.
I'm going into the game with no expectations and I'm going to watch it as pure entertainment. If the Jets get slammed there's no point in feeling badly about it and if they win it will be glorious. And yeh, I'm not seeing a very strong team in camp right now so I know what you're saying.
maybe we can write a letter to the league telling them that Jets fans are a bunch of whiners. Hopefully they will postpone the season until we are able to find a QB with a strong arm. God I'm sick of this whining, we get it already. Chad doesn't have a strong arm & no amount of whining is going to change that..
If we loose the first 2 games , it won't be because of CP. I'm more worried about our O-Line and D-Line. I would take CP over most QB's in the league.... Farve, Delhome, Brady, Leftwitch...aside from brady.....we would not be a better football team just because they can make 'all the throws'.
Chad never does well in the preseason and yet he leads the team into the playoffs with two playoff wins under his belt. It is beyond me that people still think the preseason gives any indication of what will happen in the regular season. Calm your balls and wait till the actual game!
Right, because by that point Pennington will be in a full body cast with traction. The kind of cast where all you see is the little slit for him to put a straw into his mouth. Can we take a raincheck on the NE game? I see it as an ass-whooping of tremendous proportions.
It's a good day to be a Pats fan- they're probably sitting at the table salivating now, just thinking of what the first game will bring.
