are all of these players really that much better then Bryce or Hackenberg? I get the hesitation to not bench fitz because our backups are rookies/0 NFL snaps but look what these rookies have done thus far... and they havent had time on the bench to learn like bryce. fitz had a decade in the NFL and all of that experience landed him in the biggest game of his career against buffalo last year and totally sucked. so far this year he has SEVEN picks. I feel you could argue one way or another weather bryce or hack would be worse then fitz BUT there is no way you could convince anyone that they do not have the potential to be better... much better (especially bryce at this point). I cant really imagine any other starter in this league, including all the rookies starting games this year(except hoyer), that would not be able to win with the roster we have.
I agree, not sure if Bryce is healthy yet, but I definitely am eager to see what he can do with our plethora of weapons. Not expecting Montana, just want to see some positivity. That's more due to impatience, though. I think Bryce is going to be a player and I just want to see him play, and that has absolutely nothing to do with Fitz. Couple years ago I had a dream of a white and green jersey with Petty on the back, when we picked him I nearly freaked out (despite becoming skeptical of his lack of pro-QB experience in college and souring a bit). After a year on the bench and his performances during the preseason, along with all these rookie QBs performing well. If Cody Kessler can throw 60+% with no INTs, Petty after a year learning to be a pro QB definitely can.
