If this writer can't see the passion in Favre, at the very least, he is just plain blind. He has TOO much passion and emotion, if anything.

He is not talking about Favre, his passion goes without question. Quick, name one other person on the team or sidelines that has any....gotcha.

In Jet land, "injury-filled disaster" is just another term for "season".

I still don't see why he got a job when Mike Tice was available. Tice is a solid coach and would have this team motivated. Mangini needs to get some emotion in this team. They look flat, and the team knows it.

Tice always struck me as a big dummy. A likeable dummy but a dummy.

They weren't available at the time, but after Mangini i could see that happening. I hate to sound like a darksider, but i just can stand to look at Mangini's goofy face on the sideline not getting this team motivated.

Exactly!, The Viking Booze Cruise debacle was evidence of that. As well as scalping Super Bowl Tickets.

Regarding Mangini's lack of emotion on the sidelines.......If we were winning on a consistent basis, no one would never mention it.

It's not that hard of an adjustment if we have good coaching. Just call more running plays to avoid Favre's interceptions, which honestly is just apart of his game. Any fool knows that about Brett, so if you don't put him in so many passing situations than there aren't as many interceptions. I thought our coaching staff would know this already. Then fix the pass defense, which should have been done during the bye. Again if we had good coaching. Finally there's the play of the offensive line. I thought we had gotten a good OL coach for this team. I mean it shouldn't take seven weeks for the line to gel. These things are not unattainable by any means, they just have to be done. If these things are fixed we have ourselves a pretty good team. Great special teams, great run defense, good rb, good wr, good te. We just lack good coaching. I see a playoff team if the coaches can just wake up. Go Jets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please bring up the boat if you want, but that team had less talent and played much harder than this team does now.

Well if the team was winning then obviously it was working, but they are not winning like they should be. The defense looks clueless at times, and so does the offense. Everyone here is glad they won, save few people, but be lets be real here. The team does not look good, and its not because of a lack of talent. It is because a lack of quality or consistent coaching. You can keep playing music to motivate a team, or having Teddy Atlus speak every game. Mangini needs to cut the wannabe bellicheat act, and coach this team.

I forgot about both of those. I was going by the pencil in his ear but you bring more tangible evidence. Well done.

Also, good point about Mangini. Two years ago Mangini was "composed and professional" while Tom Coughlin was a ranting and raving madman. It's all perception, a coach has to be himself.

Oh god, no. Anyone but Billick. I'd even suffer through another season of Walton before Billick.

We'll send him a box of Klenex if that happens. No more nose picking on TV.

I was going to go with Kotite, but I don't think I could take that.

I don't understand this thinking considering what the Patriots and Colts have done this decade.
