True, but that probably wouldn't help them right now. They probably don't win at New England with a rookie, or beat the Chargers and Bills. Maybe in the long run it would serve them well, but it's hard to just surrender a season after going 1-15 to get one guy playing time. And if he sucks you set the team back years.

The NYJs are writing negative articles about us because we are exactly what our record says we are 4-3= medicore. Anybody seeing our peformance vs KC lalst Sunday would be very inclined to write negative stuff because we STUNK up the place plan & simple. Do you remember all those positive BF articles when everything was rosy? The beat writers write what they see & what they are seeing in no difference then a lot on this board on seeing plain & simple putrid garbage play by the team we root for. I'm sure the writers would like nothing better then print positive after positive about us juts like they do about other good teams but since we do not supply them with that that means they have to write exactly what they see which is a shitty team supposedly way under performing.
Well since you asked - We didnt have a QB but we drafted Henne and he will be our starting QB soon. But Brett Farve, come on !! Pennington is OK for right now but we ''The Miami Dolphins'' have taken a huge step forward and as for the jets ,have taken 3 steps backwards.Jet fans have the the right to bash the fins and thats OK but soon we will be on top again.(division) Lets be honest here we both suck this season.

Regarding your Qb situation your pretty much right. Within the next month or so Henne will take over and you can evaluate him from there. The Jets took a Risk that Farve had something left in hopes of catching lightning in a bottle to try to win right now in this Mediocre Nfl. The problem is if it does not work we will have put our Franchise back 5 years doing so. Personally I would have preffered to build a team from the bottom up like your Gm is doing but we are going for the gusto now. No matter what we always have a chance to win with BF at the helm.

The beat writers sense the general sentiment of the fanbase and they feed the fire. Of course they wrote positive articles about Favre, because it would sell more copies. It was an upswing. The Jets aren't playing very well, so they predict doom. It's not because they are the football experts that you treat them to be. They have better acess to the team, but they are writers, nothing more. Let me know when you see Rich Cimini or Mark Can'O'Lardo do an in-depth breakdown of exactly what the Jets' problems are and how they should fix them, instead of weaving words into a very shallow surface-level evaluation that you can read anywhere on this board. I am not sure how adding Favre and cutting Pennington sets the club back 5 years. None of last off season's draft and free agent signings were influenced by Favre. he wasn't even here yet. In essence, if they were set back, it was pre-Favre decisions that made it that way. Losing a single second round pick (if the Jets make the playoffs) doesn't set the team that far back.Keeping Kellen Clemens on the bench one more year is not a setback. So where does 5 years come from?

What will Cimini say if we go out to Buffalo and handle the Bills soundly, the Pats lose @Indy and we're tied for 1st in the division? This team has played poorly but has a lot of talent. If the light bulb suddenly turns on and the team starts firing on all cylinders they could be dangerous. That said, with the way we've been playing I'm scared that Trent Edwards is going to pass for 350 yards and 4 TD's.

Then write to Canny & Cimini & instruct them to stop posting negative articles. When there is something wonderful & terrific to post about the NYJs I would be right there with you saying wonderful & terrific things about them. The facts are however over the last 40 years they they have been LOSERs which means there are not good things to say about them which why the negative articles continue from our beat writers. I do not read the NYGs articles but I would bet you there articles after there win over Pitts are very much on the positive side. I think you have to come to realize that to have positives written about you means you have to have a team that produces positives & for sure up to now & since 01/12/69 the NYJs have not done that which is something U & a lot of others on this board have to come to grips with. That is why the beat writers write what they do because our team produces NEGATIVEs not POSITIVEs. Hopefully some day that will change when they finally build a team that is of true SB caliber.
Face they write negative articles is because the product on the field gives them negatives to write about. Again I am sure they would write positives if they were there but since the product does not produce them they write what they see which these days trends towards the negatives side since the NYJs produce negatives for them write about. You being a smart fella you should know that without having to writeng the BS you wrote. Actually I rather suprised you would go into a area that is of the teams own making. If you feel Cimini & Canny reports are so slanted then complain about them them to the ownership of the newspapers or even leave comments like I do under the article
