Code: Team Division W/L ------------------------------------ Titans South 6-0 Steelers North 5-2 Bills East 5-2 Broncos West 4-3 Patriots East 5-2 Jets East 4-3 ------------------------------------ Ravens North 4-3 Colts South 3-3 Jaguars South 3-3 Dolphins East 3-4 Browns North 2-4 Texans South 2-4 Raiders West 2-5 Chiefs West 1-6 Bengals North 0-7 Not counting the Indy game but if they win they could take the 6 seed depending on tie breaking procedures. The Jets are not as bad as most of you are making them out to be. We already know how strange this season has been thus far. In the NFL you can not judge a team based on weeks prior. It gets proven week after week that any team is capable of beating any team in the league. The Jets are a playoff team. Book it.
This is cute, but they need to beat the Bills, Rams, and Pats.. a 2-1 run in this 3 game set would be nice.... but Mangini might fuck it up.
Good point, but like I said in my thread, Jets fans suck. haha. A win vs. Buffalo next week and it is a whole new season.
Hey if the gameplan is to attack the weakness of the opposing defense for once, then I'll be the first to congratulate them on a awesome gameplan.
Regardless of what you think about the strategy..isnt the whole idea of a gameplan to ultimately WIN the game? Was the final score not 28-24 jets?
Yes, but 4 points to a shitty team like this? 41 passes to 24 runs against the 32nd rushing defense? Thats embarrassing. This game was won, yes, but it doesn't negate the fact that what is being called is not efficient and is being questioned by everyone on this planet... something is wrong.
10 years ago...I'd see your point alittle more. But today's NFL and specifically this year is just whacky. Every win is precious regardless of the week or the opponent. The offense WAS moving the ball very effectively. Granted...maybe we SHOULD have run more...but style points mean nothing in football...we moved the ball and won the game.
Take away two of Favre's picks and we're praising the coaching staff for going for the jugular and being unpredictable. Give and take. I see nothing wrong and aside from the Oakland game, I believe we are exactly where most of us predicted we would be at the start of the season. It's been said over and over and over again, Favre is playing like Favre. If Penny threw just two of those picks, he would not have come back to win it.
Ravens would take the final wildcard spot seeing as their Divisional record is 2-1 to our 1-1. Correct?

In my eyes, w/ the current NFL landscape...you keep winning ball games, work out the kinks and hope by January youve reached a peak level for a run..You can't afford to dwell on how well you did or didn't play.
Thats why the Jets are interesting. They can't play much worse than they already have and they are 4-3. Things may begin to look up.
Also we have been favorites in every game until this Sunday @ BUF and this team tends to play better when they are the underdogs as opposed to when they are favorites. From seeing the winless Dolphins week 1 to seeing the Brady-less Pats week 2 to seeing the winless Chargers week 3 to facing the East Coast Challenged Cards week 4 to facing the winless Bengals week 6 to going to the 1 win Raiders in week 7 to hosting the poor Chiefs week 8. Kinda weird but its nice to be the underdog finally. Maybe thats why I am feeling a little bit confident heading to Buffalo. We really arent suppose to win the game with all that's happened thus far but if we do win then thats a huge confidence booster and a killer for the Bills, who would have lost 2 straight inner division games to open their AFC East schedule.
Baker, how can you justify the Broncos over the Patriots? And hey, if the season ended today, we're in the playoffs. Good. Let's keep it that way. I love looking at these things because from it, you can see who we'll pass and who might pass us.
