When was the last time we had a QB lead us 98 yards down the field. I'm a huge Pennington fan, but there was never a time where I felt if we needed a GW drive that he would be able to get it done.
Yes, Feely saved the game at the time being, but Favre made some huge plays and some huge throws to move the ball into FG position.
Yeah, no question about it. No timeouts, backed up like that, against a good secondary, in a hostile enviroment. It was very impressive. I just wish the Jets would have won.
Me too. And we should have. Just bad luck that day. We'll come out strong this week and get on a roll.
Im pretty certain he only drove us 63 yards down the field. If it were 98, we would have won the game...
Had they used the same gameplan in OT that they used to tie the game they would have won the game. Oakland was clearly fading and Schott refused to take advantage of it. I thought the whole team came together on that tying drive though..... they looked like they were going to will themselves to victory but shit happens.
It nearly happened. Was that Brad Smith that almost broke free on one catch during that game tying FG drive?
I hate overlooking teams (like the Chiefs) but I am excited for the Bills game. This can really put us in our place. Are the Jets an AFC contender or not? The Buffalo game will tell us, I guess a Chiefs loss would too. Haha. hmy:
Baaah... bunch of loser talk... real elite QB's put the team on their backs and run the ball into the endzone themselves. Winners always want the ball.
shouldn't have needed luck and we shouldn't have needed that drive.as nice as it was the game shouldn't have been that close.we need to beat kc by 20 this week just to show some killer instinct
I couldn't agree with you more. That Oakland game shouldn't have been close. It's amazing that we have only beat them once in Oakland as the Jets (2001 Week 17).
