Hey, why the hell did we change punters? Granted, Graham was punting poorly..but Hodges 39 yard avg. yesterday left the Raiders with fairly good field position, at critical times. For once I'd like to see a game this season where both the punter and kicker can get it together in the same game. Oakland's punter was a main factor in the win yesterday. My point is Hodges looks like he is worse than Graham.
Actually, when I was watching Lechler punt yesterday I had visions of what I THOUGHT Graham would provide after all of thse amazing initial reports a few years ago. Alas, the Graham experiment didn't come to fruition. I agree that Lechler was a major factor in the game yesterday. It's sad that the Jets can't get a guy who has a good leg and is consistent. It wouldn't seem that punting is that hard to do.
LOL, I Kinda feel the same way. Man Mcfadden would have killed those holes, is what I was saying in my head.
Props to Feely as well. I have lost confidence in Nugent a long time ago....and to Johnny..You are so right, and to that point. You would think getting a good punter would not be so hard to do. Furthermore, if Graham was so bad, why not look for a better punter in the offseason? I think we will have another punter soon and Nugent just may lose his job to Feely.
