I don't see how coming out running a spread offense and trying to let Brett get on an early role is pussy play calling. It was not working. The running game was, but in the end it was just not enough.

I don't think Favre sucked today. But when you have an unimaginative Offensive Coordinator and an average receiver corp, this will happen. Teams will look great defensively at times, because you don't have routes that get guys open or Receivers who over match the defense.

Basically I feel like the Jets have nothing going for them offensively other then Favre and this game proves it.

 

So then tell me, did favre run those 56 points against the Cardinals himself. Don't say there are no weapons on this team.

 

^^^ Hopefully we play the Cardinals every weak, because besides that 2nd quarter this offense has been the definition of pedestrian. Only plus being Favre and you can't watch the Raiders & Dolphins stiffel this team and say other wise.

You are partly right. But it was the defense that lost this game. No pressure on Russell at all. I was slightly optimistic for a while this season, but this defense is a joke, promising young secondary aside. The front seven is laughable. This season is done because we have absolutely no pass rush. Buy all the Favre jerseys you want. This pass rush is a living fvcking joke.

 

Favre is part of the offense, you can't heap all the praise on him, then when the team does poorly, leave him out of the blame.

 

You go into another teams house and hold them to 16 points, you have done your job as a defense. This game is about being dominated by one of the worst teams in the league defensively. If you would have told me before the game the raiders would only have 13 points at the end of regulation, I would have taken that................ everybody here would too.

 

Favre played poorly today, just like last week. He makes bad decisions that always hurt us big time.

 

The only reason the Raiders didn't have more points is because of their own ineptitude. The Raiders stopped themselves. The Jets did nothing.
