At least wait until after the game is over to make this thread. We still have a chance. Leon redeemed himself.

There is no need to carry all these TE's like the Jets do.

Lets cut the guy, cause he was one who made all these calls to run on first down in overtime.

It's not really his fault that he slipped, it happens to everybody. If anything the whole team should take the blame because they could do nothing on offense except for TJ.

He shouldn't be cut, but it was a huge play that cost us. If he catches it, we probably win the game.

haha - yeah let's cut our only blocking/receiving TE that gets most of the starting snaps on O because he slipped. You my friend, are a genius.

Or, we could cut Favre now...his missed reads and poorly thrown (1 late, 1 overthorwn) passes to his TEs in OT cost us the game....

Like any loss, plenty of blame to go around. About 15 plays that woulda, shoulda, coulda, and didn't.

You already posted this in the Game thread so I'll just copy my post.

    -Brad Smith fell down also.
    -Leon muffed a punt.
    -Favre threw a pick.
-The O-Line was horrible in pass protect.
-Our CS coached a HORRIBLE game.

There were so many things other than that 1 Baker play

If we were cutting people for falling down then Eric Smith should've been gone a few weeks ago.

We really shouldn't have to rely on one Baker catch to win a game against the Raiders. Even if he caught that ball and we won this game it would still be a dark day in Jets-land.

That means Brad Smith should be cut too, because he fell down (despite actually making the catch first).

I'm just upset at Baker as the next guy, but can't blame this loss on him.

masivemunkey, I disagree. If Baker caught it, scored, and we win, we would all be VERY happy right now (for the moment being, and then realize how we fucked up throughout the game).

That's a bit harsh. True, that was a game changing play but the guy slipped because the turf gave way under his feet. Why not just blame Nike for making inferior cleats or blame the groundskeeper at the Coliseum? Shit happens.

No, it was favre's two interceptions and poor coaching. Mostly poor coaching, cause you know what you get when favre plays.

No, Mangini should be cut. Baker's slip was only one play that cost us the game. Other than that Mangini can be blamed for all the other plays that cost us the game.

With the talent we have we should not have been in this situation in the first place. I mean we have the people here to properly run the defense and we a the people on offense to have a solid line and produce points. I guess you still need good coaching to bring it all together.

That slip did suck but lets not forget that he was the offense for the 1st quarter.

What it comes down to was Favre's dumb passing that got him picked off in the redzone as well as his radio ball to Hall. Leon's fumble was way worse too.
