This kid is one breakout game away from becoming a beast.

Relax guys, Champ's just bitter because of the praise Brick received in that other article.

Yes, but to be fair, champ started this on draft day, as he always does.

On the money Revis, well spotted. This kid could easily take it easy for the bread he makes but he is playing hard on special teams and this spells out out his desire to play ball.

Mayo is no great shakes. He is starting because there is nobody better. Gholston is on the bench because Pace, and Thomas are in front of him. Both are playing lights out

Gholston is a B.U.S.T. (Best unanimous special teams) player according to our very own coaches.

Do any of you guys get ESPN the magazine? Look at the bottom of page 44 of the latest issue. They list Gholston as the second worst tackler in the league. I think that is a little harsh 4 games into his career.

It's interesting to note that the article is written by Seth Wickersham, the same guy who wrote:

DIVISION FINISH: 4 - Bad news, Brett: Laveranues Coles and Jerricho Cotchery are not Donald Driver and Greg Jennings. Worse news: The rest of the Jets aren't great, either.

I knew this guy was an idiot.

Shows how some people just despise the Jets. Let's hope the team and Vernon can prove him wrong

^That's practically slander--on what basis is the writer judging this?

ESPN is becoming a POS. What--is there no editorial oversight?

Sometimes I feel as though, everyone and their mother hates on the jets, we watch and watch every year and see our talented players develop and no one else does, no one acknowledges our players like they do other teams, most people i've talked to are like, what? vilma? when was he good, kerry who?, whose the fuck is jerricho somethinorother

This is the only thing that will stop comments like these. He hasn't done shit yet (relatively speaking), so I expect no less. If he makes plays, the positive articles will follow. This is what happens with all players, not just Jets. We just notice it more because we don't follow other teams as closely.

You're 100%... I know people who think that Kerry Rhodes isn't as good as he is and they don't give Vilma any respect. They also don't remember that this team makes the playoffs every other year.

It will take consecutive playoff appearances and a unfortunately pro bowl appearances to make other teams fans realize that there is talent on this team.... I do have Cowboy fan friends that have a lot of respect for Revis and Rhodes, but they don't know about Cotchery or Harris or realize that Pace and Thomas are now top-tier players.. not elite-tier, but top tier.

What did Gholston go out to the Mexican restaurant last night. It went through him, and now hes ready to take off to the bathroom. Thats about all I would expect from gholston this year. Still time for gholston to develope into a real NFl player.

You need a real NFL owner first - and a slew of FO people, and players that go with it. At least Jets got a good owner.
