Hey Guys- Here's a take on some of the trade bait that might switch uniforms come the trade deadline. Only thing that bothers me is this Jason Cole guy thinks EVERY player on the list would be a GREAT fit in Jacksonville. Not much thinking and imagination went into that part of the article... http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=jc-tradebait100808&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
To Scik and JeLo, Houshmandzadeh and Williams to what teams? (this is not in the Jets forum and the Jets have two good starters at WR, so that's why I am asking) http://forums.theganggreen.com/showpost.php?p=963045&postcount=6
Trade for a WR? Has this season taught anything except that WR performance is dependent on the quality of QB? And look at Pennington in Miami, good RBs and mediocre WRs, but he plays well. What the Jets need is a real feature back, Coles and Cotchery is good enough for now and in a few years Cotchery and Stuckey will be good enough.
F that...we need a tall playmaker. I don't see any major trades happening...I could see Williams in Minn. or Jacksonville though. Tenn too...basically any team that needs a big, fast, playmaking WR should want Williams.
We don't need Houshmandzadeh. Chad Johnson would fit the Jets a ton better than either of the others. But he's hurt and not playing well. If we can buy low on him, fine, but I don't know how much he'd help this year.
actually we dont need anyone right now. I was saying I would take Housh out of all the players that would be available for trade.
I think this article was pretty bad. The only trade i can see happening is Roy Williams to Tenn, Minny, Philly or maybe Chicago. But on the other hand, Cincy is run so badly right now, i wouldn´t be shocked if they completely wreck this Franchise and trade away the guy they should rebuild on (and Palmer).
the only move the jets would make is to get a corner and if they wanted to do that they could just sign ty law
exactly I like housh but i think the bengals asking price would be to high , Chad Johnson is talented even though he is struggling i still just think that a change of scenario woould be the best. His heart isnt in Cincinnati anymore they are stupid for not trading him to washington
Buying low on Chad Javon Ocho Cinco would be a difficult task. The Bengals already turned down two first round picks for him just so they could say he didn't win in the trade dispute, I'd doubt they would settle to let him win this argument now. Even if they are 0-5, I doubt much changes on that front. You have to be a genius to fail that badly and that consistantly as a GM in the NFL. Either Brown just hate's Chad more than he likes the idea of the team winning or Chad's only the most vocal and covered member of a laundry list of players iching to get out of Cincinnati and Brown is worried about opening the flood gates.
The Bengals are total idiots. Almost like the Lions owner who just let Barry rot instead of getting something back. Anyway, TJ is a pipedream. The Jets won't part with the 1st and the 2nd they can't deal because if Favre makes it to the playoffs that 2nd is owed to Green Bay
