That's fine...as I said to another guy, I'm not rooting for the Dolphins--I hate the Dolphins when they ripped out my heart in January of 1983--and I'm not really worried about rooting for Chad.

I'm worried about this team under this regime. I'm disagreeing with people and that makes me a douchebag.

So retool an entire offense which breaks camp within a few days and confuse every other player on the team, rather than trust that a competent, seasoned vet like Favre can pick up the playbook during the first few weeks of the season?

    Makes alot of sense...

Same coach, same O-coordinator, same players and one new guy = overhaul the entire O?

I agree, it doesn't make sense, which is why I didn't like the trade (or the timing of the trade from the outset.) The Favre pickup only makes sense if he comes in like a house on fire and takes the team to the division title, the Super Bowl. Otherwise, in my mind, it's not worth taking the detour away from developing or finding our long-term QB.

In my mind, I believed that with an improved offensive line (though this is questionable), and a better running game (?), and some TE talent, and a better defense that could improve our field position and time of possession, Pennington was poised to take us to the playoffs. I believed 10-6, and really felt like we could challenge for the division with NE taking a step back after the disappointment of last year (this was before the Brady injury).

So I'm holding Favre (and because it was management's decision, Tangini) to that standard. I expect them to AT LEAST win 10 and make the playoffs. And since everyone thinks that Favre is so superior to Pennington, I'm saying he should be taking us farther than 10 wins.

Now, the team still has problems that I hoped would be solved by the massive offseason, so I guess I need to scale back my expectations for Favre, as I would have for Pennington.

Still, I don't think playoffs are too much to expect, and right now, we're marching backward. Let's hope we get well on Sunday.

Maybe it's because we're hoping our QB will be able to do more than what they want their QB to do:
Maybe it's also because the new offense for this QB is more similiar to his old one than it is for the other one. Do you want me to keep going?

You keep posting new thread GSourJr, and you've already conceded that you are intentionally posting to new threads instead of responding to existing ones because you are trying to say "hey look at me!" But if you want us to "look at you", please try to at least say something more sophisticated than "I'm gonna compare everything like it's apples to apples, even when it's not, because I don't get oranges"
