They've all got a 4-day weekend, starting tonite. Well deserved, I'm sure, but I'm looking forward to what can be accomplished starting Monday morning.

That article illustrates what I'm most impressed with about Favre.

I had him pegged as the hellraiser that the Falcons swiped in '91, lots of skill and instinct but not much in the way of the mental aspect and preparation. But I was wrong.

Now if only the defense got its act together....

Nice to see that the darksiders have moved on to the defense now that Brett has proved them wrong! They'll be wrong about the defense as well!

Enough with the 'darksiders'. It's getting old.

Dude what are you talking about? Our defense is bottom 5 in points/game and bottom 10 in yards/game. To say they need to get their act together doesn't make someone a "darksider", it's just the truth. I like our defense, but you'd have to be blind not to see the flaws in our secondary. .. And pointing out weaknesses in the team that are fixed later doesn't make you wrong.

I think most of us would agree our secondary has a lot of potential. And they definitely show that potential in spurts. They just need to be more consistent, stopping 3rd downs and not giving up the big plays especially on play action.

The 3rd CB spot and David Harris' coverage duties.....

The D-line and LBs still need to work on the non-blitz rushes too, because we'll come up against more lines like San Diego had....

Revis and Rhodes are studs and Lowery looks like he has a lot of potential, but the rest of our secondary can't cover.

This is great! I often thought the bye week was a waste and I really hope this year it isn't

Usually like the bye week a little later in the year but this year its good that its early, gives the defense a chance to get the kinks out and this 5 game stretch could be good.

The bye week couldnt have came at a better time. Favre gets to learn the offesne and rest his ankle even know their were no effects about the ankle on sunday. Also The deffense gets to see what they did wrong in the last 2 games and improve. The jets will be a different team after this important bye

Honestly, where's Justin Miller? We need to see if he can play and he could really fill a void. I like Miller as my 3 and Barrett as my 4.
