Week 4 - Blitz Numbers

    The thing about blitz is, you have to blitz the right way. You can't just send 5 or 6 people at the QB and think it will create pressure. You have to blitz the right way. Jets' blitz scheme seems to be too simple. All the blitz I see them doing are send 2OLB's and the 3DL's, or 2OLB's, 1MLB, and 3DL's from their normal position. These blitzes aren't going to surprise the QB's or OL's. Only blitz that works effectively for the Jets is when they send Kerry Rhodes from the secondary, because no one is expecting that. Jets need to overload on one side. I never see they trying to overload, instead they always send their guys from their normal position on the field. I would also like to see the Jets send the OLB's and safeties, as few of the DL's drop off for coverage. I would like the Jets defense to be more creative.
