What do you guys feel are the important factors on a win against the Bengals?

    Stop Ocho Cinco?

It will be interesting to see what happens with the Bengals offense now that Chris Henry is returning. They have been struggling, but have the weapons to break out of their slump at any time.

im more worried about tj whos your mamma. chad johnson has been nothing this year. he is not happy in cinci and wants out in the worst way. im not saying he is playing bad on purpose, but he certainly isn't motivated to do his best either. we should be be able to handle the running game pretty easily as we have already this year. if the defense can it together on the passing and the o continues to build on the cardinals game it should be a nice game for the jets.

This should be an easy game. I hope this is the game where they bring Keller into the offense. I understand the merits of bringing people along slowly, but it will be his 5 game and it will be after a bye week and an easy opponent. Time to start throwing to Keller.

I think of them as a shitty Cardinals team. And the Jets are coming off the bye week.

Palmer's arm is hurt as well.

Playing the Bengals is never easy. They always play their best against good teams and fold against sub-par teams. It makes no sense.

    - Palmer is playing terrible this year. I'm guessing because of his injury.

    - Their RB's are preseason warriors. They haven't done anything really amazing this season. Releasing Rudi may have been a mistake after all. They are prone to the fumble bug a lot too.

    - Their Defense is suspect. DL is poor. LB are terrible. Their secondary is decent though. Not a very good pass rush either.

    - TJ seems like the only motor running hard on every play, not good news for this offense.

All in all. They have talent on offense but their D is really bad. They are playing with no passion or desire to win. I don't blame them either.

Sadly I watch most of their games on Sunday's at the local sports bar. Living in Ohio blows, I hate the Bengals. I'm very glad to be a Jet, even though sometimes it is just as hard to be a Jet fan.

Look, the Bengals suck, and sadly the offense has sputtered. While I hate to say it, I do blame a lot of the offensive woes the past few years on Carson Palmer. Like it or not, ever since that devestating knee injury in the playoffs, he just has not been the same QB. Everyone has been ranking him ahead of favre for years now, and listing him as top tier QB, when he has no performed well since the last time the bengal's went to the playoffs.

It's not all on him. That defense is atrocious, and Favre could have another huge day (maybe not 6 td's, but 3 is reasonable).

Who would of guessed through 4 weeks, that Brett Favre would statistically be the best QB in NFL? Certaintly not many.

Either way, the key to beating the bengals is the same key to beating the cardinals - put the pedal on the gas and never let up. As we saw with the cardinals, let up a bit and they can come back. Same with the bengals. Put the petal to the medal, put up 40+, and the game is over.

It really all depends on how Cincinatti plays. If they play like they have been the last 4 weeks then we shouldn't have to play our best offensively or defensively to win. But if they get it together we might have to score some points on them to keep up.

I understand the perception of this team is horrible. You can't look at any team as being a push over though, any team can win on any Sunday. I won't call it a done deal until the game is over, hopefully we get the win.

Bengals Defense is terrible and there offense is bipolar. They have some weapons with Palmer , Chad and Houzyamomma but the way they been playing this season i think coming off a bye well be ready and hit em in the mouth.

I think their secondary cannot touch C^3 -- C^3 is the new insignia for Coles, Cotch, Chansi.

    Let it be known.

They looked pretty good against the Giants. Their offense came back to tie the game with less than 2 minutes left. I think that the Jets would be wise to expect that team to show up next game.

I think we are hitting the bye week just in time, savor the big win focus on our short run game and work on our secondary covering CJ, Houz and the felon...They have no rb's even though they just signed Cedric Benson...Palmer is seriously hurting and the way our pass rush is playing it could be a "Bledsoe situation" for him..

Not too concerned. From what I hear, Palmer is going to see Dr. Andrews about his shoulder. We all know what happens then...surgery.

This means we should be seeing Fitzpatrick under center, and we need to make up for the opportunity against Cassel, and blitz the hell outta this kid.

  19. The jets are notorious for allowing first time starting QB's to light them up. I never take any game lightly...especially considering the Bengals may very well be 0-5 when they come into NYC and will be playing like a caged animal.

We have the advantage of both sides of the ball..but we cant come out flat after the bye and our pass defense has to make fitzpatrick play like what he really is.

the last thing I want to see is a winless team with huge offensive potential. I think we may get their best game yet and if they can play the way they played against the Giants for more than 45 minutes, we may be in trouble.

I thinik we should win because they are a team in disarray and we are not, but I am worried.
