He's not coming out, and how do you know he won't fall on his face in 2006 ? We have to stop talking about 2007 prospects.

Actually, I do agree with you that he does look like a retarded elf.

But seriously, thanks for adding that to your sig, because when it happens, I want credit for it.

How about Paul Pinegar from Fresno St. in the 5th or 6th?
That's a value pick right there!

    Give me Charlie!!

He would be great in round three.

He has all the physical tools in the world and has the ideal size and arm strength.

We could draft him and if Pennington or Ramsey dont work the following year we can see what Charlie is made of.

I would go with Omar Jacobs, this guy is big, has a strong arm and is a proven leader on the field, I have done a lot of research on a lot of the QB's and this is how i see them:

Croyle- Small, needs to bulk up, has the goods to be a great QB someday. Very smart, has a cannon for an arm.

Whitehurst- Decent, Good size, cannon for an arm, makes way too many stupid mistakes, could be an ok QB at the pro level. He reminds me of Josh McCown a little bit.

Jacobs- Big, Strong, Fast, proven leader, has a side arm release similar to Young, not used to taking snaps under center because he played in a shotgun offense. Can throw on the run.

Olsen- Not even an option, back up at best in NFL

Dark Horse- DJ Shockley, give this guy a chance

The best thing about getting a QB in later rounds is that we can get a QB that needs a lot of work to be successful in the NFL bc we have a great QB coach and OC in schottenheimer (i think thats how you spell his name)

If the Jets dont get Leinart or Cutler in the first round, I just dont see them taking any QB.
I think it would be a waste to take a whitehurst or Jacobs in round 3 if Eslinger is still around and we didnt get Mangold.
There are bigger needs on this team than QB. I think they will see if Penny is healthy and if he's not, then what Ramsey can do and then address the QB situation next year.

Good post, but also whitehurst has all of the physical ability you can ask for, but he's more of an idiot than young, or it seems at some times. Give me croyle over him.

Your the guy that says your team is going to win the super bowl every year. When they finally win they you say I told you so when the fact it your wrong most of the time. You get no credit from me if some freak reason we win this year

I think Croyle is the type of guy that would benefit coming into our system. Wouldn't be counted on right away and would have time to get into an NFL weight training program and develop physically while learning on the sidelines. Not sure if he's projected to go higher or not, but with the 3rd round compensation pick its the type of risk move that could pay off.
