then he's going to need a few years in the CFL to even sniff a practice squad.

Actually a prototypical red zone back is a guy like Chatman. 5'8" 230 lbs.

Short but big and strong, Chatman gets good leverage in goal line situations because he can get under defenders and use his strength to push the pile forward, and is short enough that he can get lost behind big o-lineman and the LBers lose sight of him.

I just hope Chatman is still good after the steroids wear off, though I believe his main motive for taking them was weight loss.

^No one found steroids in his system. It was a diarrhetic that COULD have been used to mask steroids and was placed on the banned substance list because of that. He was using mostly to loose the weight he put on while eating himself out of the league a few years ago. Check your facts.

Chatman is the answer. Thas prolly y we did'nt sign any other power backs in the league. TJ is a workhorse who'll take about 20 carries a game for the season, but there's a reason why he only had ONE TD last yr and still stuck at 1 with none in the last three games.

I think Leon has been under-used. He needs more carries, more action. He is explosive and has good moves in the open. I thought he was really good couple yrs ago when he started like 7 games or something.

tj is far from garbage, he may not be spectaculare but hes not garbage, hes looking good so far this season, not sure what games you've been watching but leon is not a feature back.

yeah maybe if leon didnt miss blocking assignments he might be used more, he will not be a feature back in this league, if u want him to be one, go play madden.

I disagree. Diuretics can lower your weight by reducing the amount of water in your body, but that isn't the kind of chemical help Chatman needed. Increasing testosterone levels can reduce body fat without dieting. What Chatman needed was to reduce body fat, not water levels. Steroids mostly get attention in sports for muscle growth, but they increase stamina by increasing red blood cell count, reduce fat, speed healing from both injury and wear and tear. Its a huge overall advantage.

There is nothing to disagree with, he was suspended because he tested positive for a diuretic.

With as much money has we have invested in our O-line we should be able to get short yardage regardless of who the RB is. Stop Blaming TJ, the Jets have not run blocked well for years...Maybe someone should also be looking at the line coach not just the line.

i'm blaming tj because as i said before, he runs with no authority. He doesn't have a nose for the endzone. He has no leverage, once he gets hit he goes down like a sack of bricks. In the goalline with everyone blitzing, a running back is pretty much always going to get hit before the TD line. The o-line really can't do any better. Hopefully chatman can be the goalline guy, because although it's working now, i don't think favre can keep gun slinging within the five yard line. When is chatman supposed to come back anyways?

After the bye week. He's got an exemption so he's allowed to practice this week without us having to remove anyone from the active roster yet. We'll be cutting someone next week to make room for him, though.

I think that's what cutting Graham was for as it appears that Hodges has still been on the roster since his injury.
