he's shown nothing in the pros because he never got the chance to. He can be excellent at the #3 receiver and can possible break through to become a #2 receiver. I believe that cotchery deserves no bashing considering he was never really given a chance. McCareins was injured last year and becasue of that wasn't producing. Cotchery should have been the number 2 last year when McCareins was injured. Cotchery needs an opportunity in order to show what talent he may or may not have. I personally think he can really excel when given the opportunity. Besides....how do u know that cotchery was good because of rivers and maybe not the other way around...rivers has shown nothing in the pros...and why is that? because he hasn't had the opportunity

Now they both have the opportunity to do so. I think if there's ANYBODY out there who knows how good Cotchery is, it would be your Offensive Coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. He must have seen so many tapes of Cotchery and Rivers hooking up in NC State: HE HAS TO KNOW WHAT COTCHERY CAN DO. I saw tapes of him and Rivers in College and they are both great compliments to each other.

McCariens has allready been in the league for 5 years. He has never put up solid No. 2 numbers not even in 04 when he was our go to guy. At best he is a three. I don't know if Cotch is the real deal or not. After 5 years I do know that McCariens is a role player being paid as if he was a top WR and he isn't.

McCariens is a 3/4 WR. We paid to much to get him and he is making to much money. Cotch should get a shot to prove himself. WR is a position that guys start excelling in their 2nd and 3rd years. Time for Cotch to get some serious time to prove what he's made of.

McCariens produced as a No. 3 and 4 option in TN when he was covered by safties or the nickel back. He doesn't get seperation on solid CB and he doesn't go hard after balls.

Well I will just have to agree to disagree with you...I will just say I think there is still alot of untapped potential in McCareins.

I would love to see him prove me wrong, maybe he's a late bloomer? The guy is allready 28 and has been in his prime years as a WR for at least 3 years and has been nothing but second rate. At some point potential has to be relized or your looking at a bust.

There is alot of untapped oil in the bottom of the ocean it doesnt mean that we are ever going to see it. McCareins has pretty much shone us what he has.

Cotchery will prove that he is a solid wr in the 3 spot as he takes over for wayne, and hopefully he will show the coaching staff enough to the point that he may overtake McCareins 2 spot

yeah what a shock that Pro Bowler Bollinger couldn't get him the ball, with the great O-Line protection he had and all.
