Everyone loves to complain how Mangini and Marty's boy needs to grow some balls, well... What about that call on 4th and 1? What a call...What a pass and what a play!

Giving credit where credit is due...Sure, the Defense played below average during the 3rd quarter...But what about our Offense? What about this play calling? What a game for Favre and the Jets offense! What a game!

Lets go Rams! Beat down Buffalo

I have not been singing Mangini's praises this year but he had a couple extremely ballsy calls that worked today. Great job!

Yep, I had that in mind when I made the thread in the 1st place... Thnx for bringing that up:beer:

And this was a good read, only about 6 or 7 replys, but still...It's from Jet fans who give credit where credit is due and you know what? Jet fans on this site have been bashing Mangini like crazy and it's funny how they run and hide when the man puts points on the board and takes chances

I was screaming at the TV set: "YOU IDIOTS!!! KICK THE FIELD GOAL!!!"

Great call, great play, great throw, great game.

I'm glad the Jets never listen to me when I yell at them like that!

That surely was a gutsy call. I thought that they would just try a typical hard count (to try and get the Cards offside) and then punt the ball. That play and the pass play later in the fourth quarter [on 4th and five (TD to Cotchery)] were definitely huge calls by the CS. I imagine that the earlier miss by Feely had something to do with going for it the second time rather than trying another FG.

what about it? making a gutsy call today doesn't eliminate the conservative play calling in the past. what kind of ridiculous logic is this that appropriate criticism in the past isn't justified because he did something differently today?
not sure of even the relevance of this post. are you insinuating that board members would rather lose so they can criticizes Mangini instead of win? that's the only thing it can mean.

Agreed on both sides. In the past few weeks this team has looked like a bunch of drunks down at townhall, horsing around. At times they showed there "could" be something there, but the Jets are F'in notorious for "could".

Today? That was a pretty fine job done by every unit. Even the D. The D got a lot of turnovers that ultimately led to points. Can't complain much there. Secondary leaves a bit to be desired. 4th and 1 TD passes? The Jets? Nice job.

If that play didn't end in the TD we would be inundated with them.

They should fire Mangini. He's taking too many chances. Jeez will Jets fans ever be happy with any coach?

Beautiful call and perfectly executed, looked like schoolyard ball. Loved it and believe me every D coach in the league is scratching their head trying to figure out how to stop 3rd or 4th and short with a team willing to go long distance.

1st in the Miami game and now today.
