Assuming the Jets do not draft a qb in the first couple rounds, who do you think would be the best fit for us? Jacobs, Croyle, and Olsen are just a few of the names I have heard being thrown around... any ideas?

I apologize if this thread has already around, I am too new to know

put of those 3 i would probably saw croyle.. only because i watched a couple of alabhama games ans saw him at the senor bowl and workouts and he looked very goo... he has an injury problem though and i would say he needs some development from a vet. qb and i just cant see be taught by cp

That's impossible. There is no way we are gonna trade our entire draft away next year to move up 20 some odd spots.

the reason i would go against croyle is because he is fragile/injury prone. out of those QBs you mentioned though, i think i would want Whitehurst

20 spots?????? more like 10... we will not be a playoff team next year, and the teams that make the playoffs have picks 21-32... we will have a losing record next year (probably 6-10ish) and it wouldn't cost us our "whole draft away"

Whitehurst and croyle have frachise qb qualitys but also have major problems they need to work on. croyle needs to hit the wieghtroom and whitehurst need to stop with jeckel and hyde crap. one game he looks amazing next game he looks like the worst qb you ever seen. The olsens and clemens ae crap thosse guys are backups at best especially olsen there is not special about him at all i would be suprised if he went undrafted.

We will be in the playoffs, win the division, and have a shot at XLI, write it down cause I want credit for it when it happens.

Personally, i think that we wont be drafting a QB this year because we already have four on our roster (Pennington, Ramsey, Bollinger, Kingsbury)

I think that the front office wont draft one because Pennington could (very unlikely) come back to his 2003 form. And Ramsey could (more likely) show that he is a capable started in the NFL.

If neither of them prove to the front office that they should start on the Jets, then Ramsey will be a FA next year (contract expires) and Penny will either be cut or he will have to renegotiate his contract again. Then we should draft a QB in round one of next years draft (Brady Quinn if we're in position to, or trade up) or Brian Brohm (if he declares for the draft).

All three ahve heath issues and Whitehurst is still rehabbing a shoulder surgery. Olsen might be your best bet he reads defenses real well, great leader and has a strong arm that can make every NFL throw. His only negative is height and mobility. But Drew Brees was short too.

Just a note, kingsbury is no longer a jet, he is in NFLE.

he is still on the Jets. NFLE is just for the scrubs to get experience and playing time during the off-season. Drew Henson is in NFLE, but he's still a member of the cowboys.

    get your facts straight.

Give me Croyle in a heartbeat. Whitehurst will never start in the NFL. The scouting reports about his decision making being crap are an understatement.
