no you keep the scheme and find more players to fit the system, and if a new DC is needed you get one... would you like 3 more years of shit because switching back is the "right choice"
Yes, except you can hire a wise mechanic to put in another motor and have that corvette running until the original motor is fixed.
The thing that drives me crazy about Sutton is his playcalling. I mean how many times have we heard Mangini say that he likes the 3-4 because its alot easier to disguise where the pressure is coming from. Yet, Sutton doesn't bring any pressure. It drives me crazy to watch on 3rd and 10, or 3rd and 7, and this jackass is just rushing his 3 down linemen and dropping everyone else into coverage. Even a mediocre NFL quarterback, given that amount of time, is gonna find somebody open.
The defense hasn't performed well. Kris Jenkins has performed well & Pace has performed well. Defense has been unable to stop or even slow down short passes in the flats. Jets have found no answer for that play.
I disagree. Prior to the SD game they gave up 16.5 PPG, held opponents to 3.1 YPC and got a lot of pressure on the QB. Once Jenkins left the defense was completely owned. I'm not saying they were dominant, but they were playing pretty well. Every defense has holes. Granted, the SD offense is far better than the fins or pats but the things we were able to accomplish with Jenkins in there disappeared when he did.
Are you suggesting that players also contribute to the outcome of the game? Yea OK...I'll believe it when I see it...
rex is the defensive coordinator of the ravens. they can not stop him if he wants to accept the jets head coach job next year.
So, like, what exactly is your game plan? Who would you replace him with? "It's so easy to be negative." --Buckminster Fuller
I guess you missed the 1st qtr with all those 3rd down conversions Also BTW here is the confirm on KJ previous back injuries from Jemkins himself http://weblogs.newsday.com/sports/football/jets/blog/
The fact that the defense got worse when Jenkins left should come as no surprise. The Jets ran a 3-4 last year with no true NT and it was less than awesome. Once Jenkins is out you're basically back to the 2007 run defense. You need a fat-ass NT to keep bodies off the LB's in a 3-4 to let them make plays.
Most people on this site know that the players' execution had a lot to do with it. You, however, are insinuating that coaching had nothing to do with it.
Jenkins left the game late in the second Chargers drive. There first drive we had a pick 6. When he left the game it was 7-0 Jets. It was painfully obviously how much his presence was missed if you watched the game.
As U posted earlier KJ is run stuffer & I was talking of those passes I'm sure you know which ones I mean
