    Mike Pearson OT,
    Brad Meester C/G
    David Garrard QB
    06 1st 28th pick
    07 1st

Well care to make a deal?

Mike and Brad are formidable starters in this league at their respective positions. You all could focus on a RB,TE and shoring up your defense with the rest of the draft. Well what do you say? 5 Jets for one pick.

for some reason I spaced the fact mike is an UFA. Looks like our 2nd rnd pick is in order.

    Brad Meester C/G
    David Garrard QB
    06 1st 28th pick
    06 2nd rnd pick
    07 1st

I would make the deal, but it would NEVER happen. It is not Madden.

Also, that is the worst thread title I have seen in a long time.

    Sorry about the confusion.

I was wondering how healthy is your cap? do any of you all know how much cap room do you all have left this season?

We still have a lot, we had about 20 million before we signed Dyson, who we signed for just over 2 million a year, so I'd say we have around 18 million now, maybe a little less.

I am glad to see so many liking the idea, because for us at this point it is not about filling holes, but rather finding an elite player to take our defense over the top. 2 First round picks and a second will go a long way to filling those holes. Especially with a center and another QB to compete for the starting position.

Then again we could work out a deal with Detroit and trade our first along with SS Donovan Darius to jump into the 9th spot and trade you all from there using the 9th pick along with Meester, DG, and our 2nd rnd pick for the 4th pick.

I don't care how we do it, In my mind getting Hawk could make all the difference in the world for our defense at this point.

Wait... 2 first round picks and those 3 players? Edit: Or even with the 2nd rounder... Are you, like, into the S&M stuff or something? Because this would be you consenting to rape.

I wouldn't be so quick to trade Garrard, especially with Leftwich not proving he can stay healthy for a full season.

We have another Back up QB that a lot of Jag fans would love to see getting more playing time.

Moving into the top 5 from the 28th spot will take a lot.
Next years first will more than likely be later than this years, so in effect you will be receiving 2 early 2nd rnders along with an early third.

having said that throwing in David and Brad seem the only thing to do to make this thing happen. It is not as if we will miss a beat without these players on our team.

We have 3 very good tackles on the team and a very good gaurd along with one who play's awesome when he is not taking plays off. Our back up center has potential to be a great center. Our line is good to go, and we could use some change at the back up QB spot, DG needs a shot at starting in this league at this point he never will as long as Byron is our QB.

So you see it is not really that out of wack of a deal it actualy looks perfect to me.

Then there is the Detroit factor. The want our SS in a bad way. so maybe we can take the long way home to landing Hawk.

The way our depth is shaping up we will be able to turn over players in the near future for a first Rnder...

Quinn Gray is supposed to be an absolute beast. I'd rather him be part of the trade than get Garrard who is known as an average player.

As far as the trade goes, it's too bizarre to happen. But I sure wouldn't oppose it. :)

Excellent trade that we'd pull in a heartbeat. We'd be able to start Pearson at RT, Meester would be a backup interior lineman (and we could still draft Mangold to start at C), we'd get another talented QB, and we'd have a 1st rounder for next year to package for Quinn or Brohm if Ramsey/Chad/Garrard all prove that they're not the future.

But as said before, this would never happen and we'd be raping the Jags and then some.

Good luck finding any takers for a TRADE of Mike Pearson, UFA. Otherwise, I'd do the trade in a heartbeat.
