Seems like he's trying to throw everything off of his back foot or just with his arm.

IF he stepped up that wouldn't have been an INT... he needs to trust our O-line a bit.... He doesn't seem to be playing with confidence.

We got Favre to score TDs... shit, we can get 3 points with Chad P! :(

yes yes yes. Every down he starts with the keystone cops routine. He never once steps up into the pocket like a 38 year old QB with a gun for an arm should do.

Haven't seen much of a pocket today. Patriots have won the line of scrimmage on both sides.

There were pockets there... it looks like he is not confident with his knowledge of the plays and is always retreating. This was my main concern when swaping CP for Favre... I don't care how experienced you are but if you don't know the offense you are not going to play with confidence.

CP must be at home watching and saying... 10 points?!? I can do that!!!! WTF?

I'll give Favre the benefit of the doubt here as far as him still learning the offense but if this crap continues.....grrrrr...

D'Brick looked like he was on roller skates today. There wasn't much of a pocket to step up into as far as I could see.

I thought the same thing all game. he never seems comfortable back there. He always seems jumpy and rarely stepped into the pocket to deliver a solid throw.

I think Ratlif is the next glimmer of hope we have at QB. I don't really see it in Clemens... but Ratlif is actually built like a QB, has a very good arm, seems to be accurate and seems to be very poised for what we've seen of him so far. I don't know how long the Favre experiment continues for... I honestly think that Favre will be mentally done before half the season is over. I mean the guy retired cause he was tired and didn't want to do all that work, I can only imagine the work he has to do coming over to a completely new team.

I agree there wasn't much time to step up, but by the same token the coverage in the secondary was good...there's definitely room for improvement in the pass blocking, Ferguson blocks as well as Graham punts!

Favre doesn't step up in the pocket!!! He never has or only rarely. It's why he is so durable, he throws and backs up and its kept him off the IR list all these years. Do it long enough and stepping up will get a guy injured. He can arm pass a rocket 40 yards and when he does use his body for a throw he is out of the pocket throwing a bomb.

He is like Willie Mays was in the outfield, lousy technique, great results.

I think he is 33 for 48 w/ 3 TDS. That is 69% and a TD every 16 passes attempted. What more do you want? Call more passing plays. He has had a 56 and a 54 yarder and the Jets had one for 57 in all of last year.

Not ragging on you just that I have enjoyed watching #4 throw since 1st year in GB.

Favre never could count on having a pocket in GB until last year... hence he never tries to rely on one.

Quick release, quick release, quick release... regardless if it is off the wrong foot.

2nd in MVP last year, coaches let him take over and he single handedly took GB to 7-1 until running game kicked in. Athletes don't fall apart overnight absent an injury.

33 for 48 for 69% w/ 3 TDs, 4 if Coles caught the slant at Miami. Let him throw the ball. I think he was 15 for 19 in second half. ????

Last year at 38 he completed 22 straight in a game.

Give him time to throw and spread the field and he will kill a defense.

    guys it's week 2.

He is 38 and is probably not just wary of the O-line, but a little scared of the game itself right now.

Give it a few weeks, let him shake the rust off, and most importantly learn the system.

Having the O-line start to gel a little bit would be a help too

First off all, He is not now and never was a seven step drop back passer.

Secondly, there were at least twice yesterday that he stepped up into the pocket.

I'll buy this, let's hope you're right. Good point, Brady's injury was a freak, but it was also stepping up into the pocket. So was Carson Palmer's in the playoffs a few years ago.

The pick he threw was all arm, and clearly it was not enough...

He's still the top 5 QB in the league. Signing the guy for huge $ and calling passing plays only 50% of the time isn't what we signed him for! Some might disagree with me but I thought the protection he had yesterday wasn't too bad. Also, Coles needs to wipe the butter off his fingers.

What I saw was Favre taking a very short drop, too short in my opinion, so he always had the pass rush in his face.

It's like he only trust the mini-pocket created by Mangold and the 2 guards and doesn't want to be 5 or 6 yards deep where his tackles might be getting beat by the ends.
