They had 2 heart breaking losses, but guess what, they still lost. Great teams win close games.

Their team is demoralized right now, as ours is probably too. The jets own SD, and have for the past few years. They should win this one.

I know you hate the Pats. But give them their due. They are still a top 5 NFL team, even without Brady.

I think the chargers are more pissed than demoralized. The refs screwed up two huge calls! One wasn't overturned because the replay equipment didn't work, and the other (Cutler's fumble), should have given them the win.

That said, the Jets can win, but the D will have to be alot better.

that game is a must win for the chargers, 2 last minute losses and they are at 0-2. No way they can lose to the jets at home to fall to 0-3. pressure is on SD big time to win.

There I fixed that for ya, Honestly the Chargers have not looked good on defense the last 2 weeks. Cromartie looks human again and they are banged up big time. The time is right for a W but I honestly think the Jets are going to get destroyed next week if they don't step up with a great gameplan which I don't think is in the works, this game proved Mangini and Co are not NFL Caliber head coaches.

I had the Jets penciled in at 2-2 heading into the BYE...Losses obviously to NE and SD.

I don't think beating SD is a "must-win"...It's not like they're going to have the same mentality.

As others have written, the game against SD is more of a must-win for them than for the Jets. This will be a tough win for the Jets given the Chargers will be looking to avenge their two last-minute losses. Combine that with the long trip the Jets are going to have to make and it doesn't look to good for the Jets.

It's a must win game for SD and they'll probably beat us, it's not a must win game for us bit that Cardinals game will become huge w/ a loss next week.

No rational fan expected anything more than 1-2 when the sched came out, we had a better chance to beta NE so we thought maybe we'd be 2-1 but that's over now and it's likely we'll be 1-2.

RobA, first you call Pats a 'mediocre' team, now you say we have to win cause we're playing against a 'winless team' in Chargers?!...No offense, but I think you need a reality check!...

It's big because San Diego is likely one of the teams we'll be fighting for a Wild Card, since we're likely not winning our division once again. They already have two losses, assuming they get it together and we both end up in the hunt, this game will be the tie-breaker.

I had the Jets starting 1-2 with losses vs. NE and @SD prior to the season. I also had them finishing with 11-12 wins. This is hardly a must win game. It would be nice to go to SD and beat them, but it's far from a must win.

Last I checked SD is a pretty damn good team - 0-2 or not, they have a ton of talent. If we can get into the bye week @ 2-2 we have a good chance to make a run.

Not a must win game – Mandoofis and his crack staff will get us a 6 – 10 season regardless of that happens in San Diego (A Whales vagina).

I'm sorry but next week's game IS NOT a "must win" game. Important? Yes. A great opportunity to get a great, momentous win on the road? Yes. A must win? NO.

PEOPLE, the world champion New York Giants were 0-2 and 1-2 last season. The NFL season is a marathon and NOT a sprint. Let this team come together. Let's see where they are week 6 or 7. Stop making every game the fucking superbowl. Yesterday was a shitty loss and a step back in my mind. But they had plenty of opportunities to win the game and have showed some real strengths on both sides of the ball. (Namely, rushing the passer, stopping the run, and a much improved running game) RELAX people. Stay confident and patient. This team is going to have a very good season and be playing in January.

Bills are at home vs Oakland, and New England is at home vs the Dolphins so they'll probably both be 3-0. You want to be two games back of both of them already? Win the damn game
