...especially when we have to go and beat(or at least try to) the Chargers next week. The only solace I get from THIS COMING game is that we actually beat this team like a drum when we had Chad here.....So if Noodle-arm could do it, Favre could do it....with his eyes closed. (of course I'm cautiously optimistic about it....)
after 2 games we have our work cut out? get a grip We have a 38 year old QB who is still learning the playbook and a pretty much brand new O line seriously...it will all come together
YOU need to "get a grip" here, pal. Remember....THIS IS "THE JETS" and all sorts of crap happens against us. Always has, Always will. But I continue to watch 'cause I love this Franchise to death....and it just may end up being MY death if I'm not careful.
Your logic is terrible. Pennington beat a Patriots team WITH Tom Brady less than 2 years ago. Pennington beat a Chargers team in the playoffs in 2004. Yeah..... Thats good logic.
Ah, preseason is when its supposed to "come together". Not the regular season, when the games COUNT. If it has not "come together", then the coaches have alot to answer for.
Exactly right! The Giants gave up 80 points with two losses after two games last year. We need to beat Miami twice and split with the Pats and Bills and win a good portion of our other games. Playing well right now is not the key its getting better every week and playing well down the stretch.
How is that logic terrible? I'm referring to the fact that, like you just said, Pennington beat the Chargers(yeah it was in the playoffs but he still beat them) and if he could do it with that noodle-arm of his, Favre would have a field day against them next week....or he SHOULD. I'm being cautiously optimistic here, though.
Why are we making excuses? We lost because of bonehead penalties, and equally bonehead playcalling. We let a Brady-less team beat us at home today. It's inexcusable to say the least. We blew it, but even at 1-1. Next week is the first game of the rest of the season.
Nice post. Chock full of perspective. Doesn't mean I'm not concerned about our banana-headed coaching staff.
Look....The deal is this : The Jets have to win next week and not fall below .500 'cause losing streaks can start snowballing and our whole entire season could go into a tailspin
I want to put out a APB on Gholston. Did he even play? Its official can you B-U-S-T. For someone drafted at the 6th spot he's is a mjor disappointment and I'm not buying that stupid theory of he arrived late because of Ohio St. rule.
Actually, as pissed off as I am about the loss, think we are in decent shape. A lot of flashes of goodness on both sides of the ball. When we get a few kinks worked out and mesh a bit better, I think we'll be very tough after the bye as long as we're healthy. My position- as long as we go into the bye 2-2 and healthy we are in very good shape to make the playoffs.
I agree. A few things didn't go our way and the Pats are still a great team. If we didn't get that offensive pass interference who knows what would have happened. That call could have gone either way. A few plays later is the pick and then the game winning TD. Everyone relax. We have lots of new players and I expected it to take awhile to get the team running on all cylanders. The kicking just sucked. Graham sucks major ass and we lost this game largely due to field position woes. The offensive playcalling was offensive as usual. I really can't stand Schotty, we are so predicable and boring.
oh? so why dont you give management a call and tell them to sit gholston and let you suit up. no need for any of you people to be in panic mode after two games. the giants started off horrible last season.. turned out the defense just had to all mesh together and look what that result was.
Next week is a very big game...i don't want to hear any of the "its only the 3rd game of the year bullshit" San Diego is pissed and I really don't think they willl start the year 0-3...WE have to bring our A game
