Danny Boy sucks as a poster. Just comes here to talk trash. I hate rival fans like that. Come here to talk football.

I think folks like you have giant imaginations. The Pats have their hands full trying to win the game, so taking dumb penalties is the last thing they want to do. It's not Buddy Ryan coaching them!

fuck...i have to agree...especially with that dirty cunt Vince Wilfork coming up the middle....he's dirtier that Bill Romanowski.

Hopefully the oline takes care of Favre...and themselves :eek:hmy:

The Pats take cheap shots at everyone. Why should Favre be any different?

In a way I agree with this. Could you imagine the fallout if Favre goes down to a BLATIANT cheap shot? How many times do you think that we'd have to watch that play replayed on EVERY NEWS STATION for the rest of the season? The black eye that the NFL (not just the Patriots) would receive would be immense. While I think that they'll go after him, I seriously doubt that they'll try any "extracurricular" activities.

I think they will DEFINITELY take a cheap shot, and unlike years past, the referees will actually call it, because it is Favre

See, Favre is use to this though. As far back as last season, Favre was getting rocked. But, he always had a smile on his face. Why was this? He could care less that his ribs were soar, or his ankle throbbed. Or really, that any part of his body hurt - because the ball was in the endzone. There is no pain when that occurs for the Iron Man.

It really just means "I get to soak in a hot tub for a week till the next game." Man, what a hard life!

Getting serious though, I am sure everyone will be trying to cheap shot favre a little. THe refs have never, ever, in favre's entire career, protected him they way they do with Brady and Manning. Of course, Favre wouldn't want it that way. He originally played during hte last legs of the era when QB's were aloud to actually be hit just like every other player on the field.

Favre will be fine. He may be old, but he's the toughest 39 year old in the league.

Yeah, I'm a little concerned about Wilfork. He thought his hit on Losman last year was perfectly legit and is pissed Pollard didn't get fined this week. Kept saying both plays were the same, hit below the QB's waist.

Actually they were not exactly the same. Wilfork WAS blocked into the QB. Pollard was blocked down, then dove at the QB.

I don't think either player was trying to injure the QB. But I do find it interesting that Wilfork got fined and Pollard did not.

I think that the idea that the Pats are any dirtier or get away with more than any other team is a figment of the imaginations of overzealous Jets fans. Not the astute ones on this site (and there are many). But the ones like the guy who started this thread who see everything as our guys good, their guys bad. What we do is good and pure and right, and what the other team does is flagrant and dirty and planned to be that way. I know a decent segment of Pats fans (the ones who started watching after they got good) just like this.

Very similar to the majority of Flyers fans I've known.

If the Pat's bring a cheap shot they had better hope that it takes Brett out for thier sake. Because a Pissed off Brett Favre will for sure kick ass.

You are doing horrible injustice to Bill there... Bill didn't lunge on opposing QB's knee intentionally.

  12. The key to this game is the passing trench game. Jets have to keep Favre upright w/ a clean pocket around him....the Jets also need to collapse the pocket and swarm the edges on Cassel

Yes, Wilforked was blocked into JPL and therefor he thinks his fine was unjust(or Pollard should be equally fined)
But do you seriously think that Wilforks lunging elbow directly to the knee was unintentional?
For the record, I think Wilforks was fineable (possible suspendable) and Pollards was not.

Don't watch the Cheats too much, have to assume they are dirty since their head coach is.

In watching Favre all these years, I think most defensive guys don't want to be the one to take him out. Have seen guys let up at the last minute, when they could have nailed him harder. Favre is really respected by the players.

Worried for 16 years that he would go down, didn't happen. I hope he is on today, and if he gets hit, usually makes him play better.

You've gotta give Brett a little credit here too, guys. A quarterback doesn't play 3.7 billion consecutive games without learning a thing or two about not getting crushed. One thing you Jets fans will come to see over the course of the season is that Favre is an absolute master at avoiding hits, be they late hits, cheap shots, clean hits, whatever. Have you noticed yet the way he springs backward out of the collapsing pocket the instant he releases the ball on almost every pass play? I've never seen a quarterback do that better than he does. He's a wily ol' bastard, and anyone looking to knock him out of the game with a late hit has his work cut out for him.

it's odd how some are talking trash about the opposition taking cheap shots at favre, when in just the past few seasons quite a few here on this board were advocating a jets player taking a cheap shot at brady to get him out of the game.

now it's one of our own we've got to be worried about, and they are the scum of the earth. JETS FANS, LOOK IN THE MIRROR!!! some on this board are such phony's, it's pathetic!!!!!!!!!!!

nobody here speaks for "all jets fans". one guy might say "f-em up", another fan may say "I just hope its a clean game". some of the folks aren't even jets fans, they are BF fans who stop by on the weekends.

    :shit:...........

no only will they take a cheap shot, I bet they shank him when he is on the ground and then have a sniper blow his head off as they stretcher him off the field. I mean, that isn't any less ludicrous to worry about. are you so paranoid and insecure about the Jets season that you think the Pats are going to take retribution on the Jets for an injury that occurred to their QB against another team? I'm sorry, I'm compelled to use this langugae...that's just fucking stupid.
