Something I've noticed about the NFL is that unknown QB's often do well in early starts, and this is usually attributed to the lack of game tape on the QB.... Jaworski was saying Cassell took 18/20 snaps from the shotgun, thus resulting in a pass that is often telegraphed.... Our Defense better be ready!
I am sure our defense is ready. What coach in the entire NFL can know Cassel better than Mangini. Think about it.
Just let the defense mix things up and blitz from different sides and hide a LB to blitz up the middle Iam sure we can confuss a young QB. Plus the crowd noise will be in are favor.
Didn't I tell you somewhere? Jets have a history of making "green" QBs (QBs with little or no starting experience) look like the second coming of Joe Montana. Trent Edwards is but the latest example.
It better stop. I think this game is going to be very tight. We have to be aggressive on both sides of the ball today.
This should be a very emotional game for both teams. I think one of the teams are going to leave this game riding a tidal wave of victorious feelings. Hopefully ours!
Exactly. This is the biggest game of week to sports news wise. Are the Jets for real? Can Cassel lead the Pats to the ACF east crown? One or the other will not be decided, but be much clearer after today.
I totally agree. This game could be emotionally draining on everyone from the players to the fans. But hopefully, win or lose, we keep in perspective that this is only week 2. But I see it already: If we win we're headed for the Super Bowl and if we lose we'll be playing for the 1st draft pick. Just the way it seems to go with some fans. The truth is usually somewhere in the middle.
If Mangini keeps sticking his head up his ass come 4th quarter, the trend will continue. Mark my words. Unless they start attacking in 4th quarter too, this game is Pats' to lose.
Revis and Rhodes will take care of it...Pace off the edge. The defense better taste blood. If they play like pussies they will lose this game
