I know we have discussed this before, but the news is a latest one. He is on the trade market according to his agent. I know we got Lowery and I think he played awesome yesterday. However, that was just one game. That too against Miami. Do you guys think we should atleast have a look at Lito? He's a proven vet. Most of us will say no, Im sure. But what about the depth at CB? God forbid, if Revis goes out for some time, we will only have one proven vet in the secondary, that too a safety(Rhodes). Do we currently have a good nickel back that can defend a decent WR? Imagine Revis, Lito, Lowery and Rhodes in our secondary... PS. :finssuck: EDIT: http://blogs.nfl.com/?p=1348&akst_action=share-this
the depth is a good concern to bring up. If Lito brings his price down, then I'd give a 4th for him. Him being this pissed on a team that embarrassed the Rams can't be traded for a lot, then Philly wins the deal.
Giving up 4th? So Eagles can find a late round sleeper with it? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Kidding aside, I think he's worth at best 5th. *Injury prone players give me fits*
i would love to see this happen. the jets should atleast attempt an offer because yes lowery played well in week one BUT it is only one game and miami's wide outs arent exactly the better ones in the league, and after revis and lowery look at who we have.. barrett, justin miller(who i like but should stick with kickoff duties), and then theres ahmad i make stupid penaltys carroll. might have forgot someone but still, a vet corner would be very nice.
Yeah we should never be allowed to give away our 4ths Lowery will be fine, and I don't think Lito wants to play NB or be there for depth.
Lito will be opposite Revis. Lowery can be nickel or even take up the second safety spot. Then we'll have Revis, Lito, Lowery and Rhodes....Damn...!
Doubtful. I wouldn't waste a draft pick on him anyway though. Lowery looks like the real deal and if he is than Sheppard will be as disgruntled over here as he was in Philadelphia. Plus I worry about picking up a guy who is as injury prone as he is. One good hit from a strong RB and there goes millions of dollars and our precious draft pick. I really do think the Eagles will get some high draft picks coming their way soon though (2nd maybe or 3rd conditional?) as teams realize how bad their secondary needs another solid CB.
A 4th? Every team in the League would jump on that. They won´t settle for anything less then a 2nd or prefeably a WR, if they decide to trade him. But they didn´t put him on the Block all offseason. Rosenhaus is trying to make the Boldin-Sheppard Deal happen for months now. And we don´t have the caproom for him.
Do you really want another player on the Jets with Drew Rosenhouse as an agent? All it will lead to is that player constantly complaining about his contract - wanting to renegoiate every other year. No thanks.
Drew Rosenhaus uses the same business model everywhere he goes with every player he has. If you want more money he just hands them a playbook and says follow the steps and we will get you out of there. That being said, do we really need Sheppard? I think they want a starting wideout as trade last time I read.
Every Angry, Hurt, or Cut player is automatically Jets news Koz. You should know that by now.
Do me a favor, stay away from Sheppard, for 2 reasons. 1. I want Miami to get him  2. The Jet's salary cap situatuin will be fucked up enough in a couple years, no need to fuck it up anymore.
