early odds: Jets -2.5 against Pats

Ug. Its a nightmare to be afvored at this point, but I can easily see why. I'm nervous as hell heading into week to playing a Pats team we should now beat.

This line seems pretty knee-jerk, but I'd take it now before it spreads.

 

I saw the line at -7 for the Pats before the injury

 

I'd pick the Jets with someone else's money this week

Picked them against Miami but I took the over... fuckin Nuge's FG is the difference between a winning ticket and a losing one. He makes that - i'm in the money.

 

If he makes that FG, that means he's not hurt. Which means that Jets later kick a FG isntead of going for it on 4th and 13 and getting TD (then missing two point conversion).

So Nugent doesn't get hurt, you get 2 FG (at most, assuming he doesn't miss either). He got hurt, you got a missed FG + TD, no PAT. Net effect: zero; 6 points either way.

I've been watching all morning and they finally published the line. The Jets were favored by 3 over Miami. When was the last time the Jets were favored the first 2 weeks? Anyone know?

He kind of showed why yesterday. All those weapons. Not too many points. If I was a betting man i'd take the under in the jets/pats game.
