Since I'm going tonight I thought it'd be nice to make a thread...I'm going with my buddy, a Rays fan...I'm sporting the #13 jersey:eek:hmy:

Tonight - Mike Mussina vs. Matt Garza 7:05
Wednesday - Carl Pavano vs. Edwin Jackson 7:10
Thursday - Darrell Rasner vs. Scott Kazmir 7:10

    Ugh...I think Pavano's magic ends...

I'm hoping for Moose to deal well tonight.

Come back TampaBayJetsFan85. The season has totally sucked without you. You were without question the highpoint of this miserable season. That devil prick won't be mean to you anymore, we promise.

I'm torn here. One I'd like to catch the Rays for the division...but on the other hand nothing makes me happier (in baseball) than to watch the Yanks sink faster than the titanic....decisions decisions

  5. I've decided to root for Tampa. I simply cannot stomach the idea of another Bostin Championship. That city needs to be humbled.

Winning these games are useless if Boston is going to keep winning, all we are really doing is helping Boston win the division.

Only fitting that the first ever use of instant replay would involve an Arod HR. The one he was robbed of earlier this summer is probably the main reason we have it to begin with.

Glad they upheld the ruling on that. the ESPN talking heads tried to make it look like it was bound to be overturned but I saw nothing conclusive on the video that showed where the ball was when it passed the foul pole.

Damn he really crushed that one didn't he.

We might be relevant in causing that to happen. We play them the last three games of the year. Wouldn't that be a nice way to end an otherwise miserable season. If nothing else we may force them to burn their 3 best pitchers just before the playoffs begin.

How is that scored a base hit?

He should get the error for trying to backhand that.

Well, I was trying to keep my mouth shut, hanging onto hope, but it looks like tonight is the last nail for the coffin. Of course they're still not mathematically out, but to have a shot, they really needed the sweep.

Ah well. It was a great run.

What was a great run? Our investment in the team for several months culminating with disappointment or the Yankees attempt at a playoff run? I'll accept the former. The Yanks were an average team this year and never displayed they were worthy of a playoff birth. As fans, we can't be angry as they gave New York a great 13 years of memories, but I wouldn't want to make the playoffs as a facade contender and get knocked out early again. I'd rather go home early, get healthy, and clear some room for new guys.

Ransom now has both hits. Kazmir pulled with 98 pitches, and now the Yankees have a runner on first with one out.
