    Roger that! Here's my Jet-centric season's predictions:

    1. Favre will have better than a 1.5 to 1 ratio TD to INT.
    2. The Offensive Line will be ranked in the Top 10.
    3. The Running Game will be in the top twenty-five percentile in the league.
    4. The Defense will be ranked in the Top 8.
    5. Kerry Rhodes will lead the Jets' Pro Bowl contingent of at least three players (choose between Favre, Faneca, Mangold, Harris, Jenkins, Revis, Pace and Leon Washington).
    6. The Jets Secondary will finish in the top fifty percentile statistically in Interceptions and Pass Defensed.
    7. The Jets Defense will finish in the top fifty percentile statistically take-a-ways.
    8. Tannenbaum will be the runner-up to the Tuna for the executive-of-the-year award.
    9. The Mangenius moniker will be en vogue once again.
    10. The Jets will finish with double digit wins and go to the play-offs.

I think you missed a couple of fingers when counting. Or maybe you just subtracted incorrectly. :p

13-3 is optimistic, but realistic. I think this is the best Jet team since 98

Week 1 @ Miami - L (will be a running focused game, will be a very tough loss)
Week 2 vs. New England - W (Huge scores on both sides. Let the roller coaster begin. Favre gives up on the running game and airs it out)
Week 3 @ San Diego - L (Reality check 1 after beating the pats)
Week 4 vs. Arizona - L (Ouch, 2 losses to teams we should have beaten)
    Week 5 - BYE
Week 6 vs. Cincinnati - L (looking grim for us, 3 unexpected losses)
Week 7 @ Oakland - W (once again tough running game, but this time the upgraded D starts to come into its own)
Week 8 vs. Kansas City - W (Die Herm)
Week 9 @ Buffalo - W (Back to .500. Most fans gave up after dropping to Cincinnati in week 6)
Week 10 vs. St. Louis - W (maybe we are for real?!? 4 game winning streak! can we make it 5?)
Week 11 @ New England - L (reality check 2, Pats are nowhere near as good as last year, but they are still a good team)
Week 12 @ Tennessee - W (Tennesse is going to be last in the NFL this year)
    Week 13 vs. Denver - W
Week 14 @ San Fransisco - L (SF started spoiling my football dreams in 1988)
Week 15 vs. Buffalo - W (My wife is 8 months pregnant but she still wants to go to the game)
Week 16 @ Seattle - W (Concider flying to Seattle, the Jets now seem unstoppable)
Week 17 vs. Miami -W (Payback for game 1, Brett has fully gelled, 40+ point win. Exclamation point on a rediculous second half of a season)

    Final Record: 10-6 - Wildcard

My first post. Excited for the season. I like the predictions I see here. 06 was my first season going to all the games. So in 07 when preseason everyone was predicting doom and gloom I was still optomistic. Now I just think you guys are all geniuses.

most predictions have us at 1-1... the complaining is due to not capitalizing on an opportunity.

    Week 1 @ Miami - WIN]/b]
Week 2 vs. New England - LOSS
Week 3 @ San Diego - WIN - the will be fired up for Monday night and to make up for yesterday.....as bad as Mangini screwed up yesterday, he will have the team ready to go next week.
Week 4 vs. Arizona - WIN
    Week 5 - BYE
Week 6 vs. Cincinnati - WIN
    Week 7 @ Oakland - WIN
Week 8 vs. Kansas City - WIN
    Week 9 @ Buffalo - LOSS
Week 10 vs. St. Louis - WIN
    Week 11 @ New England - LOSS[/b}
    Week 12 @ Tennessee - LOSS
Week 13 vs. Denver - LOSS
    Week 14 @ San Fransisco - WIN
Week 15 vs. Buffalo - LOSS
    Week 16 @ Seattle - LOSS
    Week 17 vs. Miami -WIN

    OVERALL - 9-7

.... I think there's a chance we take 1 from Buffalo, so 10-6 at best, but with Brady our at this being Cassel's first gaem, we should have won......so our best possible should be 11-5....

Any retractions? I guess I need to retract:

"Week 12 @ Tennessee - W (Tennesse is going to be last in the NFL this year)"

hmm after 5 weeks Ten is alone with the best record in the NFL. Now I feel really stupid. Oh well, we will still beat them.

I actually think we match up quite well against Tennessee.

I'd like to take that Tennessee guess at the end of this post and apply it to the prediction. Note in your book that I now predict 10-6, unless Haynesworth and Finnegan are abducted by aliens.

But then again Seattle could be a win, so it may stay 11-5.

I was wrong about the first two games, but I guess they cancel each other out. I think we're going to lose four more games and finish 10-6.

If you hold a gun to my head, I'll change my mind about the Tennessee game (before my mind ends up on my keyboard -- BLAM!)
