No, I don't think you can throw just any QB in and win, but it takes a team. Thats why Marino only went to one Superbowl.

my brother attended tulane while ramsey was there and i watched him several times in college, he really has one of the top 5 arms in the nfl, i saw him roll out and throw across the field 55 yds and hit a guy in stride, he has a lt of potential and if he replicates chad's work ethic then we may have a franchise qb...however i dont care if we get the second coming of joe willy, he wont do shit without a solid running game and good pass protection, hell even brooksy looked good when we could run the ball a little, all im sayin is that i like the ramsey pickup and i think he has the potential to be a pro bowler and maybe a super bowl winning qb

based on what? college? cause havent done a thing in his pro career for me too see that kind of potential.. theres a reason we got him for a 6th rd pick. even hasselback got traded 1st when he was a nobody.

there is one major flaw in that very long artical.... Ramsey is signed for one year. After that, he is as much our player as he is anyone elses. So since you think penny is a career backup at this point, that will us put in a spot next year to have to pickup another QB.

I think he has a little upside to be a starter, but more than likely, Ramsey with play his one year and fight for the starting job while a rookie is groomed for the 07 season.

To say Ramsey has the potential to be a Pro Bowl Qb is like saying James Dearth can be a pro bowler. That is based on nothing-- he hasn't done anything even close to the Pro Bowl level, and everyone knows it.

    Ramsey blows.

Jacobs comes from a traditionally terrible program. You want players that excel at the crappy schools as projects. I do hope we pickup Jacobs.

HMM- jacobs comes from a terrible program. Sounds like a great reason to draft him.

I compared Jacobs to Roth. and Mc Nair because they are similiar NY MICK, If u watch them they are all big quaterbacks 6'4ish with good arms and they make good not great decisions, while also throwin well on the run and are mobile for their size. Wut do u mean they are different, Roth. doesnt stand in the pocket n throw passes most of his passes are off scrambles n broken down plays. I knw because I watch all of these players so get ur stuff right before u question my knowledge thanks.

Ben 6'5'' 240lbs is bigger then McNair 6'2'' 230lbs, Ben 98.1 qb rating throws better then McNair 88.3, McNair (way more yard rushing) runs better then Ben. Tenn's offence is a pass first run second and Pitt is a run first run second pass third offence. So it seem you should question yourself, you seem to be the only one that thinks they are similar.
Jacobs I have only seen highlights of and read his stats is a great passer and crappy runner

I really should not have said Ben was a better passer then McNair, Pitt's offence is the reason why Bens QB rating was high.

Well, if Ramsey comes in and shows he can play at a high level, you really think this front office is going to let him get away? Also, being that he hasn't had success in Washington, do you honestly feel like he would be inclined to go to another team, and start over AGAIN after having success with the Jets?

The Jets will most likely extend his contract mid season if he's doing well. If he knows he's going to be the guy here, I doubt he would decline the offer and take his chances elsewhere after the season.
