Its nice to see pressure on QBs, considering it was rare last season.

Let's hope this continues, especially in week 1.

That's a good offensive line too. We couldn't run; that's distressing. We couldn't really stop the run; equally distressing. But GOD DAMN: we put some pressure on the quarterbacks tonight.

I think most of the sacks came against Carr and the backups, but it's still better than being ineffective I guess.

    But it's Penny though...

I am glad we have moved on, but seeing him destroyed by Pace is going to hurt me deep.

Yeah, pretty much everyone and their mom were able to get a hit on the QB tonight. I wish Vernon Gholston was able to get a piece of the action. Ah well, hopefully soon. He's not playing with the explosiveness I was hoping he could play with. He needs to hustle more.

Giants have a solid line too. We got some good pressure and Jenkins had a nice run stop. It was a good test and it looks like we passed on both sides of the ball.

He's alot like Pace but with more ability. It took Pace quite some time (3 years?) to adjust to the NFL. Give the Ghol some time.

If he went to any non-AFC East team, then I'd cut Chad slack. He wears teal now, no slack.

That's not something you can afford with a top 10 selection. Top 10 selections needs to become a solid commodity right away if not a solid impact player. There is just too much money invested in a selection made that high.

However, I'm not too worried though. I think he will come around. The Jets just need to use him as a strictly pass rusher, ala Terrell Suggs in his first year when he picked up 8 sacks and 46 tackles. Gholston just needs to work on his explosiveness. May need to lay off the roids a little bit too. He might have too much muscle mass for his own good.

I'd like to see him get going too, but be patient the same people who are ready to throw him under the bus right away (and I realize you're not one of them) would be the same people who would be going gah gah about him if he had say 2 meaningless sacks in the past 3 meaningless games.

The starting defense looked very solid tonight. We were able to slow down the run (which is the Giants strong point) and also put a lot of pressure on the QB. As for the sacks, we got to Eli about the same amount of times that we got to Carr (who holds the ball WAY TOO LONG). Overall, the starting D impressed me. Hopefully, they can continue to play this well once the regular season starts.

If that's a sign of things to come in the regular season, we're a top-5 defense, and we will beat the Pats at least once.

No, they only played the first half. 3 sacks in the first half - 1 by Harris and 2 by Pace.

Brown and Murrell are really impressive on the second team. I really like how those guys play.

I missed the game too. But to hear 5.1 yards per carry....that can't be good.
