If anyone is watching Espn and saw that Giants Defensive line Manhandle Cleveland, i think this is a huge test this weekend. Hopefully we can protect favre and get something going. Hopefully he doesn't end up with a concussion like Derek Anderson.
Ya i'm watching this game right now.. wow. Giants look very very tough, it was 30 3 in the 2nd quarter. Giants also playing without Burress,Toomer and Smith
speaking of the giants, how funny was it when tom brady laughed off plax`s prediction of 17 points in the Super Bowl
Tom Brady better laugh that sore foot off too. I can see Franks and Baker being used to max protect. Cotch and Company can get open.
I just hope that the Giants d-line don't specifically try to hurt Favre. They should compete, but come on, don't kill the guy. If a Giant player really hurt Favre, that would be very bad for New York City. There'd be a 25% jump in spontaneous fan-brawls across the city.

I really did like what I saw from Hixon though. He was a talented prospect in college and it looks like he's finally finding his NFL legs. If everyone is out I want to see if he can get open on Revis. I would also like to see Rhodes cover Kevin Boss. Rhodes is more athletic and faster by far, but Boss is enormous. Both these passing match-ups favor the Jets and I expect the Jet players to get the better of them, but if Hixon or Boss can get a few passes on Revis or Rhodes, respectively, I'll feel good about it.

I wonder if they'd put David Bowens on Boss instead. Bowens is big enough to take him. The Giants pass rush is the great test for the new O-Line. Don't knock out any QBs like they did with Anderson. I can't stand watching a Jet QB get hurt anymore. BTW, big Eli supporter. I predicted where he is now a season too early.
It will be a great test for our O-line. And I'm Mangini is well aware of the monstrous pass rush the Giants have, so the play calling will most likely try to keep Brett as safe as the offense can allow.
I am totally with you on the injury front, I hate seeing injuries in preseason games. It's either a vet going down in a meaningless exhibition, or a young player have their hopes deferred by cruel chance. I generally don't hope for injuries in the regular season either, but I will admit that anything that happens to TO or Tony Romo is fine by me. I follow the Jets pretty closely, but can't say I know that much about Bowens' coverage ability. Boss is primarily a receiving TE (needs to learn how to block better) and is pretty good at getting open and making the catch. I'd like to see him and Manning develop a good rapport. Glad to hear you like Eli, personally I like everything I've seen from "the other Brett" on your team and think he could be a starter for you in a year or two, after Favre calls it quits.
