I know that not everyone can make the team, but we heard good things about all these gusy when camp opened and we're not even seeing them in the preseason. Why even keep them around if they will never get on the field? Ainge has prototypical QB size....I would like to see him in a game situation. I see him being a practice a squadder this season anyway, but I want to see hi when it counts. I wonder what Ratty has done in practice to earn so many preseason reps. Stuckey was apparently a star early in camp, and we heard mention that he could challenge for the #3 WR spot. Now it looks as though Smith, Wright, and Clowney are all in front of him. I want to see this guy David Ball, as I remember, was looking like a sure handed guy and also making some plays early in camp....didn't see him on the field tonight. I just don't see the point of having players on a roster who you don't care to see perform in a real preseason game situation.
Ball had one catch in the endzone yesterday, but it was out of bounds. That's all I've seen of him.. I've been wondering what the deal is with him too. I really hope Smith isn't ahead of Stuckey. He plays well on Sp teams, but so far he looks like he's taking tips from McCareins.
I saw Stuckey a little in the first half. It's hard to tell who's on the field from Mantana's seats, where I was in the second half because I feel like I'm watching from a blimp.
As far as Ainge. One qb has to go on the PS. Could be they are playing a low profile with him to make sure he does not get signed by another team. Just a thought.
I'm worried about Ainge bolting. I think Ratcliffe is definitely the better QB right now but if we can find a way to keep Ainge around, that would be ideal. Plus, didn't he just come off finger surgery? Maybe he and the team have an understanding that he may only play in 2 preseason games but the interest in him is still high and they will keep him on the PS. I don't know, I'm just throwing out situations I HOPE are true.
Remember kids, when you don't have anthing of value to add, its best to become the spelling police.
that's what I was thinking..... that or an excuse to put him on IR for the year. They need to prepare a stable of QBs for when Favre splits
I guess our future QB outlook is improving somewhat. As for Stucky, I bet they are limiting his reps this preseason. He got a lot of reps last preseason and it cost him the entire regular season. We already know he can kick butt in a preseason game.
Who really cares? He has no arm. Wasn't he a 6th rounder? Why cry about him getting picked up? I don't think he is much of a prospect.
At least it's not the Hindenburg. Yet. You're both wrong. It's Heathcliff. Doesn't anyone read books anymore?
We have to put 2 of our draft picks on the practice squad (Ainge & Henry). I suppose the will hide Ainge on IR with that thumb injury he has if they have too.
