Nice to hear the o-line is building good chemistry. They will (obviously) be a major key to the Jets success this season.

Not one mention of Adrien Clarke. He had to have given up 18 sacks or more.

What they say is pretty good. But, I can't stand reading or hearing anymore of how Kendall was the demise of our 2007 season. Fact is, we would have still been very sub-standard with or without Kendall. Even with a healthy Kendall on our team I do not think there is anybody who would be bold enough to say we would have had more than 7, possibly 8 wins, and that is being extremely generous.

Let's see what happens in this next pre-season game.

The proof is on the field at the line of scrimmage. Talk is cheap.

It wasn't so much losing Kendall as it was his replacement being so bad that he's no longer in the league after we cut him.

Considering the number of games we lost by a TD or less last season and how absolutely terrible our o-line was, I think we may have won a few more if we had a serviceable guard in there. Like the article points out, Mangold and D'Bricks play dropped off because of the (extremely) weak link in between them. Our o-line was a complete joke.

While we had other problems like run defense before the bye week, the offense not being able to score, or even hold onto the ball for a decent amount of time was a big factor in losing.

    Not that intelligent:

The Jets adventures with Brett Favre as their starting quarterback begin Saturday in Washington. Follow the journey.

    Its a home game. :)

    lol!!

Stupid me, I knew there had to be something wrong with it. Whenever I get a Google News alert about an article on ESPN, I usually prepare myself for more repeated Favre BS, or Jets bashing. This was better than the norm at least.

That's the attitude I would like to see from veterans like Faneca. Respect is earned, not given.

"They're relying on Favre to take a crash course in his first new offensive system in 16 years and to find his rhythm after an entire offseason spent away from the game".

correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't the whole league spend an entire off season away from the game?

Nice article. It is nice to see some focus on those guys. They perform such a thankless job one which is the most important to the offense.

I've seen Jeff Chadiha on Jim Rome a bunch of times and he seems like a good dude.
This is the first story I've read of his but I liked it.
