Do you guys give Chad Pennington a chance to knock the Jets off week 1 and get redemption?

I think so too unfortunately. The Jets will not be "in rhythm" to start the season barring a miracle. We have so many new players that they won't be playing solid ball until at least week 8.

I give Chad and the Dolphins a 20% chance to pull a win. If Brett shows some rust and Pennington plays lights out...they will have a shot.

I voted that we win by a small margin, but before the chad signing I thought we should blow them out.

This time the Jets will be the receipients of pick 6's instead of the other way around. Also, we will be able to put 9 in the box knowing Chad can't throw more than 10 yards.

the only thing chad has going for him in week 1 is that he knows the system, other than that the jets should blow them out

The Dodgers, Lakers, and Dolphins. And you live in Boston? Say what?

Wait...You say the Jets will not be in rhythm...But how will the Phins be? Both will have new QBs, so does that not cancel each other out? Just how would Chad play lights out, and Brett be rusty? Yes, Chad has a week up on camp, but Brett does not have a 2 time surgically repaired shoulder. Chad has to learn a new system, too. and the Green Bay offense is closer to the Jets offense, than the Dolphins to the Jets.

    Nope.

Even if we're not "in rhythm"... the Dolphins are still garbage.

Hey, I'm a LA kid. Just because I go to grad school in Boston doesn't mean I'm all of a sudden going to start rooting for the Celtics, Sox, and Patsies. F Boston

"Chad will elevate his teammates play..."

Yeah, like Chad elevated the Jets' play last season when they went 1-7 with him as QB?

Favre is being discounted as a possible savior for the Jets this season by many NFL "experts" because he got to training camp so late in the day. But Chad Pennington, who'll get there just as late, will "elevate the Dolphins." The Dolphins, who were one or two play from being winless last year.

    Get real.

The Phins had a better chance with Henne, Beck, or McClown

Did the Dolphins improve their O-line besides Jake Long? Or are they still garbage?

Chad is good. The problem was he had no protection or time to throw. Sadly for him, the Jets fixed the problem, then he went to a team that has it even worse.

The Dolphins do not look good. They have 0 recievers except the glorifed kick returner. The O-line looks improved, probably a Top 30 O-line now. Defense looks crappy. Only pro bowler on the team I see is Sean Ryan.

i think you are smoking. No way we lose to a fins team when we are far better then last season. We swept it with a shitty team, we'll sweep it with a good team. Losing to the fins makes absolutely no sense
