Problem was, I wasn't put in my place. No ax to grind.. just think the entire "retire as a ________" is BS, regardless of the player, the team, the sport, or whatever.
good to see, also one of my favorite jets. if i were to ever get a jets jersey (im not into the apparel thing) it would be a victor green jersey.
Sure you were, you trolled this thread and were treated like a troll, despite your affectations of superiority. How you can even try to make an issue out of something like this is ridiculous. It effects nothing and it's nice for the player and fans of the team. You don't like players doing it? That's great, stay out of the thread next time it comes up.
No... I won't, and if you do not like it, don't read my posts. I am not a fan of this retire as a _______ crap. You retire when you play your last game. I'm entitled to a position on this. You guys are entitled to like it too, and I can't argue that, but I think the entire concept is silly. That doesn't make it bad for someone else to LIKE it. It's one man's opinion. Looks like you're on the name calling warpath again, and it has been reported.
:breakdance: The point is, there is no "position" on this, because its a total non-issue. It has no effect on the team, it's a nice gesture towards the player and the fans. Your attempt to make an issue out of it in this thread only exposed you to the masses as what some of us already know you are. Not to mention your child-like behavior in other areas.
I'll never forget the game against the Colts during the 1-15 season when he chased the dude all the way down the field when the rest of the team quit. He is the man, thanks Vic.
There was a time when VG was my favorite JET. I have a VG jersey and I swear he hit some people way harder then harrison. He was AWESOME!!
Jetsin2004, SHUT...THE...HELL...UP! You don't like the fact Green will retire a Jet, TOO F'N BAD!!! Go Watch Hockey or something.....
Victor Green was always one of those Jets I always mentioned as a key player to friends who didnt follow the Jets just because I feel he was so underrated. He could lay the hammer down like Thor, I loved the guy. Nothing was better than watching him and Damien "Shooting Range" Robinson chase people around right before he left. Glad he retires a Jet.
I don't care if he retires a jet or not.. That's the point. I think ceremonial stuff is bs. I don't care who gets his # retired (although if you are going to do it, the player should be in the HOF), who retires with which team, etc.
