Their D isn't that good and hasn't gotten better. A team with a strong line and good rushing game that will keep their offense on the sidelines will have a great shot to beat them.
Point is still the same. Jets run defense won't be as bad as it was in 2007. Patriots philosphy was why take a chance putting it up on a porous run defense. Now they will have to, and Jets clearly don't have the personel to stop the Patriots passing game. Why don't you address the subject .
I think they lose 2, maybe 3. But if I were betting money, i'd say in Indy. True Moss is a beast indoors (outdoors too really), but Indy is at their best indoor, and they Pats corners will have issues, as i fully expect bryant to be hurt by this point.
The game in Indianapolis may not be indoors. It's a Week 9 game. It's possible the Colts will have the roof open that day.
Memorial for Raider Joe at Raider vs Niner Game On July 5th, 2008 the Raider Nation lost one of its Old School Die Hard fans. George "Raider Joe" Marceline lost his life to a senseless act. He was taking his morning walk on Alameda Beach when a man who did not even know him and was upset with his family and his financial situation drove up on the Pedestrial Walkway tried to hit a lady who was walking, missed her and hit Raider Joe and killed him. Joe was 78 years old. He had been a Raider Fan for the last 47 years and a season ticket holder for the most part of the years in Oakland. Joe was a special person who touched everyone he met in a positive way. He would come to the stadium with my friend Gary and wait in line to get in the stadium at 3am for a day game to secure our tailgate spot. When I would arrive at the taigate usually at 8am Joe would be there and greet me with a smile and a joke, a comic stip with his comments written on it or maybe a Raider lighter or some other small gift that made you feel welcome. At Christmas time I would get a card or a little Christmas gift. This was Joe, he did this for everyone at the taigate for the most part. He would ask about friends that I invited to the tailgate and he had only seen and met maybe only one time. But he knew their name and many things about them that truly made you know he was sincere about the inquiry. He would remember that they lived in LA or Stockton or where ever and where they worked or what their child's name was. I was blessed to have known George "Raider Joe" Marceline. I was fortunate to be considered his friend and him mine. He touched our hearts so much that we have decided to have a memorial for Raider Joe at the Raider vs Niners game on August 8 to celebrate his life at the place he loved the most, The McAfee Colisieum with his friends the McDonald family and friends. We are requesting that the people that knew Joe or if you just want to show your respect and would like to attend feel free to do so. We are speaking with the Raiders to try and get some additional parking spots in the Handicapped section or the preferred lot to accomodate everyone. Bring your own drink and if you would like to bring something to grill or other food feel free. Here is the invitation from Bonny McDonald. Bonny, her husband Gary and daughter Tiara who host the tailgate for our group. We have been friends for the last 13 years. If you are so inclined feel free to sign Raider Joe's Guest Book. This is going to remain up for a period of time then be closed, wire bound and given to his son and the family. Thanks.
jeaux, the subject with you is always an argument that isn't worth engaging. Your points are so empty and ill-informed. It's much more fun to bash you.
I'd like to amend my post. Now that the Jets have a real QB, I can see them winning one of the games against the Patriots.
Bah! Jeaux, I created you your own friggin' thread just for this type of stooopidity. Consider it like a condom for Raider idiocy. I will not have you knocking up perfectly innocent threads just because the SS Bananahead is in port and someone thought to invent tequila.
I say a sharp decline for them..... dynasty's peak and then level off. My predictionss will seem outlandish but I go on gut a lot...... 2008 SCHEDULE: Sun, Sept. 7 Kansas City Chiefs=W Sun, Sept. 14 @ New York Jets=L Sun, Sept. 21 Miami Dolphins=W Sun, Sept. 28 BYE WEEK Sun, Oct. 5 @ San Francisco 49ers=W Sun, Oct. 12 @ San Diego Chargers=L Mon, Oct. 20 Denver Broncos=W Sun, Oct. 26 St. Louis Rams=W Sun, Nov. 2 @ Indianapolis Colts=L Sun, Nov. 9 Buffalo Bills=W Thu, Nov. 13 New York Jets=W Sun, Nov. 23 @ Miami Dolphins=L Sun, Nov. 30 Pittsburgh Steelers=W Sun, Dec. 7 @ Seattle Seahawks=W Sun, Dec. 14 @ Oakland Raiders=W Sun, Dec. 21 Arizona Cardinals=W Sun, Dec. 28 @ Buffalo Bills=L LOL, this oughta get some reactions....LOL, just my gut
Dude, I'd say they have a better shot of losing to the Raiders than the Dolphins, which still isn't much of a shot. I could more easily see them dropping one in Seattle or home to the Steelers if you're looking for that 5th loss. The other 4 are definitely losable games for them.
We definetly won't beat them Week 2, but maybe Week 11, when Favre has more in game time to absorb the playbook and develop relationships with the recievers and his line. Chargers won't beat them. Not this year. Colts will be a possibility, depends on how Harrison responds to the year off. Steelers are a much bigger threat. If Big Ben plays to his potential, thats the most likely loss. Plus they'll likely lose another one somewhere in there to some random team... 13-3 or 12-4
Every year since the Lawyer Milloy game in '03 the Pats have kicked the Bills ass in Buffalo, so unless it turns into one of those preseason like meaningless week 17 games, I don't see Buffalo being one of the Pats losses this year. I see them loosing to San Diego and Indy, and maybe Denver just because the Broncos always play New England tough.
