It looks like they're going to cut Chad Pennington.

Tennenbaum just ADMITTED that Chad WILL be cut

Just watched it, and can confirm that he did say chad is done in NY (as expected).

This is like a dream come true.

At the end he backtracked a little and said "transaction" so there is an outside chance of a trade.

It's GREAT. Pennington was a cancer to this team.

Yeah. Mike had a hard time saying it, but I could see the writing is on the wall when he kept on saying how the organization thought the world of Chad.

A beat reporter asked Mike if there was a trade possibly in the works for Chad, and Mike said there's no package or plan together right now to trade Chad, he will be cut (pretty much) as soon as possible. Mangini has/or is currently talking to Chad and the way he saw it, there is very little right now that could change the way they would handle the Chad situation.

Hope he catches on somewhere and gets a shot. He's had some tough breaks, injury wise, but seems like an entirely likeable person.

Be happy moving on, but for chrissakes people remember the good times at least. He was the man there for a while. No need to shit all over him.

Give me a break. He may not have been the most talented guy, but he was loved by his teammates.

That's impossible- Jets fans are the most pessimistic and "what have you done for me lately" fans in all of sports. I've already read enough "noodle-arm" and "thanks for nothing" posts to make me sick to my stomach. It's just a testament to the poor quality of the Jets fanbase that people call Chad a "cancer" (real MENSA comment there by the way). Remember, this is the same fan-base that cheered as Chad limped off the field and the magnificent Kellen Clemens AKA THE FUTURE came on.

He wasn't a cancer. He was more like a dead load.

OK maybe cancer was a bit strong, but he really has held back the development of this team for years.

Seriously, Chad was nothing but a class act. Was he a great QB? Obviously not, but he provided some good memories and represented the team well. Now we're moving up and upgrading.
