nothing really new, and yeah, ESPN are mostly jackasses, but at least it's some exposure and encouragment for a decison that was considered questionable at the time. http://myespn.go.com/blogs/afceast/0-2-12/Dustin-Keller-making-presence-felt.html
Love it!! We could use more weapons on offense.. Last year was no different from a Paul Hackett offense!
ya. and i'm wondering if Keller will sway Mangini to lean towards giving Clemens the nod since he clearly wants the Offense opened up and the field stretched out.
No!! You can't come off the field with 2 min left!! The most crucial time in the game and he's "hurt"..Hope it's not a sign of things to come.
It was an inter squad scrimmage game, no reason to take even the smallest chance with that one. Im not gonna hold those last 2 minutes against him. He seems to be having a promising start.
O I know mate i'm just saying that i hope I don't see this in week 13 with the game on the line.
Mike Mayock said it on NFL Network minutes after we drafted him, he said dont worry Jets fans, just wait until training camp. Everyone questioned the pick, but boy Mayock was right on.
Mayock's top 100 players in this years draft, 90 of them were taken in the top 100. He knows his players.
LOL and the rest of the worlds reaction was more around "WTF is a Donte Whitner?" Mayock's best skill is knowing the players though...their strengths and weaknesses...breaking them down...Keller is exactly the kind of guy he'd love on his team. I'd take a Mayock guy on my team I guess. He seems smart enough.
If Darren McFadden is a superstar, that's a small hit to his reputation. I like Mayock a lot, but he was a little down on Run DMC
I loved Mayock because he bashed McFadden. I don't care what anyone says, he is going to be shit in the NFL.
He rolled his ankle on a diving catch where he got tangled up with the defender. It didn't look serious afterwards as they wrapped it and he was walking off completely on his own power with a slight limp once the practice ended. He wasn't the only one who had an ankle sprain before it ended. I'm pretty sure Lowery had one too.
The more i hear about this kid the more i want to see him in action. Even if it is only for a few plays the first preseason game. He wasnt listed as one of the players who was held out of practice today so it must not be too bad...
so.....since keller can outrun line backers, a safety or db will have to cover keller over the middle, witch means coles/crotch should benefit (fewer double teams). but....since safetys are required to cover keller, the line backers are now free to release keller off the line and play the run or blitz. so our running game could actually suffer a tad since line backers won't have to chase/cover keller. hmmmm. keller helps coles/croch, may hinder thomas/washington. MANGINI HELP US HERE!!!!
I think we will see 2 TE sets like Indy does. Baker or Franks will take care of everything at the line and Keller will be allowed to run the routes.
