I don't really care for the polls, but if one of you mods wants to add one, be my guest. So who's having the best camp? I'd really like to hear from a couple of you guys who're at those practices. All I have are words to go on. I'm doing my part, though; up here in Albany I get to boo the Giants loudly and proudly everyday when I drive through campus. ("FLUKES!") From the sound of it, I'd suggest these guys: (Ah, I'll just add a poll. Screw it.) Dustin Keller seems to get mentioned every practice. Any receiving position in the NFL has a huge learning curve but all I read about is Keller burning some dude practice-after-practice. I think Chris Baker needs to get healthy and I think he knows it. That Rhodes smack on Chansi Stuckey. "Thanks I needed that." And he held onto the ball. And he didn't get injured. My official vote for 3rd wide out. Rhodes made a great decision to put a game hit on somebody having a great camp who's never played in a regular NFL game. Chansi's not being macho; he really did need that. Aren't veterans supposed to coast through training camp? Why does Eric Barton keep raping Kellen Clemens then? Barton's exactly what Clemen's needs to improve though; a crafty veteran to torment him while the throws mean nothing. Revis. I think we've got a second-year lockdown corner. Let me know when he gets beat. I bet you anything he's watching game film of Randy Moss every night. First training camp and he's doing just fine. Miller keeps getting his name highlighted for INT's. I really don't care about the INT's. It takes 3 "Miller had a nice pick"'s to equal one "So-and-so burned Miller on a thirty yard slant"'s, in my book. I want consistent coverage, not the occasional lucky snag. But his attitude sounds great. Talk is cheap, but the coaches love that shit. Which means more reps for Miller. Hate Bryan Thomas so much. Hate him. But he's swatting passes at the line of scrimmage and in lateral plays. I think batting a ball while engaging a blocker is one of the most under-appreciated defensive plays in all of football. So I'm obliged to give BT props. Leon Washington can squat a smart car. Get bent, Devin Hester. I vote Leon. I'd very much like to see Leon Washington as a team captain this year.
Keller is having the best practice because it seems no one can cover this kid. Every report has him beating everyone, or he's causing penalties on the defense. Imagine a guy who is either going to catch the 17 yard pass, or cause the Pass Interference 15 yards downfield.
Tanney and Mangini get mad props for trading down and grabbing Keller. He causes a lot of problems running that middle seam especially with Tampa two teams. Its tough for a MLB to run with him especially in play action when he needs to hesitate to check run first..a weapon
