I think a younger qb should be obtained if possible, such as Brady Quinn or David Carr, instead of Farvre! Any thoughts, or suggestions?

fuck that if we want a developmental young qb stick with clemens.

    otherwise,

get us garcia! stronger armed vet than penny with great energy and enthusiasm. practically carried the eagles to the playoffs two years ago when they were counted out. he wants a new contract, he skipped opening weekend of tc, maybe we can get him a new deal?

I think we should go after Andre Ware.

I hadn't thought of that! If Favre goes to Tampa, He might become available. While I still think Chad is the best on our current roster, Garcia would be a nice option

if derek anderson has a great season like last year, brady quinn will be on the trading block, and he will be a new york jet (assuming pennington/clemens sucks, which will probably happen)

david carr??? id rather bring back vinny

I really liked watching Quinn Gray play for Jacksonville. I think Indianapolis just picked him up. Wouldn't mind Chris Simms. I gotta believe Jon Gruden can only appropriately coach old-ass veterans like Gannon and Johnson and Garcia and Simms isn't as bad as he's made out to be. Dude lost a spleen for the team, that sounds like a "Mangini Guy" to me.

Speaking of which, where did Gradkowski end up?

The guy I really really really want to sign though is Cassel, if the Pats release him. They'd probably trade him just to fuck us though.

David Carr?? all those sacks he took on the chin...ruined him for life.

I'm not sold on Quinn either....there's a reason why he dropped like a stone in the draft...and all he did last preseason was light up some 3rd stringers...he would have to prove himself in the regular season before I would support a trade for him.

Didn't somebody do a poll once about who was the best QB out there, and include Chris Leak on the list?

uh for those clamoring for youth, and then saying Jeff Garcia, if Farve becomes a Buc, how about Chris Simms?

Simms is as good as gone if Farve enters town, and he is a capable QB who got shafted when his appendix exploded on a dive into the endzone. so he is Youth plus lineage (Phil Simms) and he is at worst, just as good as clemens and Pennington

I would still take farve, but I would take simms in a second as a backup plan.

Favre isn't going to the Bucs. They have no interest in him apparently. That leaves us and a mystery team who has yet to develop. Unless of course they cut him and then he will go to the Vikings. The only other option is not to play at all.

Seriously, I think Brett Ratliff might be a someone we should keep on the active roster this season.
