    From his blog:

Does this mean that he's actually signed it, and it's waiting league approval, or does he sign after getting league approval? Supposedly league approval shouldn't take that long, so he might make it for the 5:45 practice today...

I think they have to have league approval for all contracts before they are signed.

League approval shouldn't take too long. This should be done shortly.

That link didn't mention Favre at all. What are you talking about?

I think one of the movies in Video Picks Of The Day is what they tried to link. 'NFLTA: Favre to Jets?'

Nine million a year? Just ridiculous. The NFL needs to stop this nonsense, either way glad he's signed, always nice to get the next defensive rookie of the year in camp on time.

We always get these premature estimates of contracts from the press. I bet the true breakdown of the contract doesn't even come close to that.

Sorry, I don't have enough posts to put up a link but it was mentioned in "NFLTA: Favre to Jets". An article is also available on Jets Confidential.

No, no, no. Don't get me wrong, Brett Favre seems like a great guy and is a great football player. But I want this team to build it's own legacy. Brett Favre is a Green Bay Packer, pure and simple. No matter who he plays for next, he will always be remembered as a Green Bay Packer. No matter how well he does, it's still not the same. It's like Dan Marino playing for another team and winning a title. Yeah, you got a title, but it almost seems like cheating because Dan Marino is a Dolphin. And I know people are going to say he is better than the quarterbacks we have right now, and that is true, but I would like to see this team become like Bill Cowher's Steelers where they always compete and end up finding there own way to win a championship rather than hiring another teams legend. Just my opinion though.

Vinny Testaverde was a career Buccaneer with a legacy of failure, do you mean to tell me you wouldn't have been ecstatic for a Super Bowl win in 98???
