Check out the ticket stub from one of their games this year: It must have been exciting beating a mediocre team by that large margin that they consider it one of their great moments. I realize winning is new to the Pats but they should be above stuff like this. Would SF, Pitt or Dallas do something like this? I wonder if they have a stub for our 2nd meeting that year where we BEAT them? and I'm not sure about the tiebreakers but we very well may have kept them out of the playoffs w/ that loss.
robert kraft is always spoken about as being such a class act. how much more evidence is needed to prove what a classless jerkoff he, and his whole organization are. this team struts around like they are above every other team in the league. they should realize they have'nt won a championship in many years. they are such cocky pieces of shit, starting with thier owner, to the coach, to the asshole QB, who always takes shots at the jets. it's my opinion, that this team is in for a rude awakening this season.i can see them taking a huge step backwards.then lets see what they've got to say.
Pats Begin To Make Our Season For Us Take a loot at the big picture under this profootballtalk.com posting: http://www.profootballtalk.com/2008/06/30/pats-tickets-stick-it-to-jets/ "...SEPTEMBER 9, 1979: This 53-point spread remains the greatest margin of victory in Patriots history. New England Walloped the New York Jets that day..." This is their home game ticket. Why thank ya, Bill! Appreciate it and all.
This is their biggest win ever - why do people need to look for a conspiracy theory in everything? They picked 10 of their greatest moments (each of the 10 season ticket games features a different game). Why wouldn't they commemorate their biggest ever win? A quote from that article is just laughable really: "But, somehow, the Pats have opted to include their largest single-game margin of victory as one of the ten moments. " Somehow? SOMEHOW? It's their largest margin of victory for crying out loud, as the writer helpfully points out, making himself look like a moron trying to stir up a bit of intrigue. I have absoluetly no problem with this. It isn't illegal to point out past victories or even celebrate them, even if they were at the expense of the Jets. If anybody gets annoyed by this they must have a really thin skin.
Remember when everyone was predicting that they would beat us by 50 points in the second game we played them this season. ooops
Do they have a ticket talking about them becoming the first team to get to the Super Bowl undefeated in 35 years and then losing? That seems like a significant moment in franchise history.
I second that. We play in the same division, chances are some records were set by one of the teams in the division.
I think there's just a void of stuff to talk about after six months with no games. Great avatar, BTW. :rofl2:
So that is a top 10 moment? Not the division clinching games? the playoff wins? the AFC Titles? the Super Bowls? A meaningless reg season game is in the top 10 over significant wins?
yeah this is true....i used to post here year round but then i stopped in the offseason unless something happened... thanks lol
that would be the only argument of why this is unnecessary. it doesn't bother me because it's irrelevant to anything present. but you have to figure among Superbowls and all else, that this game doesn't crack the top 10 unless they're taking a dig; or trying to.
Do you know what all the other Top 10 moments were? I'm guessing some Super Bowl wins, AFC titles etc may have made it onto the list. It isn't like this is the only game they chose. And by the way, the Monday Night Miracle - meaningless regular season game by your standards.
